Being Obese In America: A Fat Poem About Sedentary Living

Updated on September 27, 2012

Being Obese

Muscles are fine Grass

Fat is all weeds

Either one or the

Other will succeed

Weeds are aggressive

In the crevices

Of driveway grout

Between the fences

Herbicidal defenses

If not tended

Grass is defenseless

Parasitic friendship

The lawn withers

Shrubs and Flowers

Dead as winter

What's for dinner?

It came of as a rap when I read it, but that's how my mind works sometimes. It has this rhythm to it and I could almost hear the beat!
