I believe in magic, do you?

in love at first sight,

in finding new joys in old things,

in believing in something, in anything, in everything, for the sake of believing.

Some people believe that magic is evil or sorcery.

Others believe that magic is pulling a coin from behind a child's ear or choosing the correct suit and number from a deck of cards.

Still others believe that magic is levitation or hypnosis.

I don't subscribe to any of those theories.

I believe that magic is like oxygen

it is all around us

we can't see it even when our eyes are open but even when our eyes are closed

we need it to survive in this world.

I believe in laying in the grass

in finding shapes in the clouds,

in counting shooting stars all night,

in holding hands,

in falling asleep on a blanket with the one you love.

I believe in swimming at night

in the ocean or in a pool,

with or without clothes,

in the heat or in the cold,

with wrinkled hands and never letting go.

I believe in laughter

of elderly couples still in love,

of teenagers deep in puppy love,

of children on a playground with no cares,

of jokes that make fun of no one and entertain everyone.

I believe we have to save ourselves

from the apathy of the world,

from marketers and advertising,

from getting too wrapped up in being an adult,

from our fear of letting others get close,

and from our fear of letting ourselves be ourselves.

I believe in the magic of the moment--enjoying each and every. I think you captured the essenece of magic very well--from swimming at night to the grass under the sky. Enjoyed the read.

      Wow Moiragallaga, another home run!

I really enjoyed this piece. It made me smile and it made me giggle. It made me want to live. What difference does it make what we call it, magic or otherwise, isn't living grand?

      Up, awesome and beautiful!!!
