Benefits of Doing Pilates
Pilates benefits are numerous that people have discovered. I know that
I recently started doing Pilates at my own home and have started to
discover the benefits of Pilates that I never knew existed and have
even started getting my kids into doing Pilates as well so they can
discover the benefits of Pilates at a young age. Here are some of the

The first benefit that I have found from doing Pilates is that the exercises that are introduced on the DVD that I use are very low impact and do not put a ton of strain on my body. So if you are looking for an exercise program that will not want you to purchase a ton of equipement you will really enjoy the benefits of Pilates because all that you really need for Pilates is an exercise mat to keep you from sliding across the floor. I know that without the exercise mat you will slide on the floor and it can make doing your Pilates exercises a little bit more difficult than what you are anticipating.
The second benefit of doing Pilates that I have discovered is that the exercises allow you to work at your own pace. I know that even if you are watching a Pilates DVD you will have to attempt to keep pace with the DVD, but even then you always have the pause button on your DVD controller. So being able to work at your own pace while doing Pilates. Which if you are like me with children you will have trouble keeping pace with any of the exercise videos that you see.
The third benefit of Pilates is that you will be able to stregthen multiple areas of your body at the same time. Unlike some of the exercise videos that focus only on one section of your body at any time I know that when I am doing my Pilates exercise that I am going to benefit greatly because of the range of muscle groups that Pilates will work on during almost every exercise that is shown on the video.
