what is a cpap

It is mostly used in hospitals to treat patents who are sufferers of congestive cardiac failure or obstructive airway disease, but the are also used to treat COPD and asthma. Another common use is to help premature babies breath in the ICU unit. The mask or “nasal pillow” that is used with the device is partly inserted into the nostrils, and strapped around the patents head. It is also used for those who suffer from obstructive sleep apnea breath easier while they sleep. For some users it is hard to get used to the treatment involved with a CPAP machine as at times it is uncomfortable to use. As stated above CPAP machines are mainly used to treat those who suffer from OSA. Those who suffer from obstructive sleep apnea find it hard to breath as they sleep. OSA causes the sufferers airways to close in or narrow during sleep, some have even stopped breathing for brief moments as they are asleep. CPAP machines deliver a continuous airflow via mask or nasal pillows to allow a better sleep experience. While the treatment is considered to be very effective, many users complain of how uncomfortable it can be using this treatment. Unless you have a machine that allows adjusting the airflow, people find that it is hard to breath out against the heavy flowing pressure it can deliver. There are also some cpap machine side effects that are associated with this treatment. Users can expect to have a dry, stuffy, or runny nose while undergoing treatment. Also expect irritation to your eyes and face, and there have been reports of abdominal bloating.

It really is. But finding the right one for a good price is hard. As long as it runs quietly especially at night it's a winner
