Best protein supplement and your blood - selecting a protein supplement based on your blood group
The function of this article is to illuminate the link between the best protein supplement and your individual blood type.
Article key points:
· the blood type lectin connection
· how the best protein supplement for you depends on your blood group
· blood type and best protein supplement case study
· what do lectins have to do with picking out a protein supplement
· getting the parts together
· why haven't I heard of this before
This article is my unique contribution to the protein supplement debate.
I have not encountered it covered anywhere else, and I now recognize
that this issue is critical. This is not hype, I have written this so
that you give this article the proper attention it deserves.
Let me introduce lectins
Lectins are proteins encountered in food that interact with your blood type based on the various antigens that the food contains. What this signifies is that particular foods will react negatively with certain blood types while being altogether neutral to others.
Consuming lectins that are inappropriate to your blood type creates digestive, immune and metabolic distress.
Lectins can induce your blood cells, as well as other cells, to agglutinate (stick together in clumps). They can also be interpreted as foreign invaders by the immune system, causing allergic reactions.
Well what does all this have to do with choosing the best protein supplement?
Happy you asked, the link is this: a protein supplement, like any other food, contains the lectins from the food from which it was formulated.
And so, if you eat a protein supplement which was produced from food that responds badly with your blood type you will acquire effects like: allergic reactions, decreased protein breakdown (and food poisoning as a result of this), inflammatory and autoimmune disease, damage to intestinal lining, and many more.
Reality check #1:
The best protein supplement is not a whey
In truth, for about 88% of white people, a whey protein supplement is TOXIC.
This means that if you are using a whey protein supplement there is an 88% chance that you are poisoning yourself.
I'd really like to hear some backing up of that 88% number you proposed?
Here you go.
Percentages of White population by blood type:
Blood Type O – 47 %
A Blood Type – 41 %
Blood Type B – 9%
Type AB – 3% ( origin, straight from my high school anatomy class book)
Blood Type O and Blood Type A are encouraged to completely avoid both whey and especially casein as it carries lectins that react very poorly with their blood type -- reference, a very well referenced and popular nutritional science book which I will be identifying later for suspension reasons.
Note: the above-mentioned data is not up for questioning, it is verified scientific fact, do your private research and find out.
So, let me ask you this!
If the best protein supplement is the protein that works best for you, and the most favorited protein supplement, whey, is not good for about 88% of the caucasian population, how can a whey protein supplement be the best protein supplement?
The answer is that it cannot be and that it isn't.
I will add some clarifications so you don't overreact (type A's are especially given to this):
- the O blood type, if healthy, will stay free of symptoms with occasional whey intake, however, even healthy type O's should not eat casein in the least;
- for type A, the identical rule as for O, with one exception, there is a 15% chance that whey will be neutral for you, but you have to test for this;
Please don’t make the assumption that because you are a healthy type O you should consume whey, it is still unsuitable for you. Consuming a hamburger won’t make you ill, but it still has bad effects on your body.
Why should you lessen your results when there are alternatives that are really BENEFICIAL for you? For example for the type O, beef has a beneficial effect on health. Just throw out that whey and consume beef if your blood type is O. This is not true for A.
What you have to understand here is that this is more significant than it is commonly recognized. There are so many people on forums posting and babbling about the best protein supplement without recognizing that:
A the best protein supplement is established on something named the best protein
B the best protein doesn’t exist because all people don’t respond positively to all protein – let me articulate this again: no protein is healthy for everybody, so there is no such thing as the best protein, nor such thing as the best protein supplement.
I have preached about this before but it must be understood:
The best protein supplement is the protein supplement that is best for YOU.
And what is healthy for you is detrimental for someone else, so the entire construct of the best protein supplement is absolute marketing hype.
What should you remember from this article:
- the concept of the best protein supplement is unfounded;
- whey is not the best protein supplement and in fact should be avoided by most people;
- your blood type plays a critical role in the selection of your protein supplement;
