Big Berkey water purifiers can supply 24 gallons of clean fresh water per day

Updated on October 17, 2011

Water is the most important thing when it comes to sustaining life on this planet. It doesn't matter where you are, or what you need the water for. Having water that is clean and safe is the most important thing that you can do. Whether you're providing your family with a pure source of water, or whether you are working with an aid group to provide towns or villages with safe drinking water, nothing beats the Big Berkey portable water filters.

For far too long, many people have relied on bottled water, and assumed that it was safe for them to use and to drink. And while a lot of the bottled water that is sold is found to be of good quality, most of the time it is the same quality of water that you could get from your tap. There isn't anything special about it, nor is there anything about it that you can't already have from your water supply.

Also, in some cases, bottled water is contaminated. Studies done have shown that as many as 1/3rd of the bottles of water out there might be contaminated in some way. This is due to a lot of reasons. Bottled water has been so popular for so long that some companies want to take advantage of the fact that people would rather buy bottled water than use tap water. Often the bottled water is sold under false pretenses and is simply tap water from another location. Sometimes, bottled water is found to have bacteria, chemicals, and other toxins. Therefore, bottled water can be very dangerous, and can make you very sick.

For infants, the elderly ,and people who already have immune problems, toxins in bottled water can even cause death. Using the Big Berkey, on the other hand, can provide you with safe and clean water for a long time to come.

The Big Berkey system has been independently tested and approved by several organizations. It is a water filtration system that anyone can use, with any type of water. Not only that, but it can provide you with up to 24 gallons of fresh and clean water each day. That's a lot of water, and it can be very useful for you.

Big Berkey portable water purifier systems are easy to install as well. You don't need any extra plumbing or any major hassles to install these filters. Also, they run on gravity, which means that there aren't any pumps to break down or eventually need replacement. The filters, which filter out bacteria, toxins, and chemicals, are easy to use and clean ,and when they're kept properly, they'll provide you with 60,000 gallons before they need to be replaced. For these reasons, Berkey water filters are economical. You'll never find a better deal, and you'll never find water that is better for you.

Big Berkey water filters can provide you with 24 gallons of drinking water a day - from any source ,such as a lake, a cistern, a stream, or a local well. The filters will make sure that the water, no matter where it comes from, ends up safe and healthy for anyone to drink. The filters are made out of stainless steel as well, which means that they are sanitary, and also that they are easy to clean. They'll last much longer than plastic or other materials as well.

The portable water filters have been independently tested by several groups - such as Spectrum Labs, University of Arizona, Clare Microbiological, Loughborough University, and Hyder. They have been found to provide people with safe and reliable drinking water - and have been found to filter E. Coli, Klebsiella, Cholera, Shigella, and Salmonella bacteria, among other things. For any situation, this type of water filtertration system is fantastic because it will provide any group of people with water that they know is safe for them to drink.

No matter where you are going, or why you need fresh water, Big Berkey water filter systems can provide it for you. From a small town in the United States, to a big city in Africa, these filters can provide you with high quality and safe drinking water, right from sources that you already have.

Hey, I wanted to thank you again for this recommendation. My son brought home a water bottle from his school trip yesterday (almost summer vacation, so I think they're going on a lot of fieldtrips to keep the kids from going stir-crazy) and I saw some visible specks in it. I've heard that they're allowed to let a certain amount of droppings and insects into food, I wonder if it's the same with water.

If so, then that's even more reason why I think we should filter our own water. It's disgusting to think of what could end up in these packaged water bottles. Maybe eating a few bugs isn't bad for you, but if they can get in there, who knows what else can?

Anyway, I wanted to thank you again for your article. The filters you're recommending are the best I've come across so far on the internet. They strain so much more than the average water filter. Great stuff.

What a great idea, portable filters! Home systems are good, but if you do a lot of camping like us, you're always out places. It costs so much to buy bottled water and I really don't trust what's in it anyway. Much better to know that you can trust what you're drinking.

There's already too much out there that can cause cancer and the like, best not to add to it, right?

And I have to say, 24 gallons of pure water every day is probably much more than our little family needs. It's good, means that we could store some if we needed to. My mom always suggested keeping several gallons of pure water around if you can. That way if there's some reason the water isn't coming through you don't have to go out and buy bottled water (since it's not that good for you) and you don't end up getting dehydrated if you can't make it out.

      Thanks so much for sharing!
