Bikram Yoga Poses

Bikram Choudhury developed Bikram Yoga in the late 20th century, Bikram Yoga is a sequence of postures done in a room that is heated to 40 degree C. The unchanging sequence of bikram yoga consists of 26 different postures. Each one of these postures are developed to help improve your core strength, balance, and health.

Each Bikram Yoga instructor must be certified and trained by Bikram Choudhury himself. To be even considered into the program to become a certified instructor one must have at least six months of regular Bikram yoga practice at an affiliated studio, letter of recommendation from studio director at an affiliated studio, and minimum of 21 years of age. After you have satisfied the pre-requisites, you will need to attend a intensive nine week training program in Los Angeles with Bikram and Rajashree Choudhury which costs 11,400 USD for the training program.
