Updated on May 14, 2017

How to keep your brain sharp

When you think of your brain, and the way you remember things what do you think of? Do you think I can always better my memory or do you think, "that's okay my mind is fine the way it is"? Sure you might think so, but everyone learns every day. The way, you keep your brain sharp is, you keep learning different things in a limitless capacity. The ways to keep your brain sharp is, to use all your senses, all the time. The more senses you use in learning something the more your brain will be involved in retaining memory. Believe in yourself, prioritize your brain use. Repeat what you want to know, Space it out. The way to keep your brain sharp is, to continue to use it. Do something that requires brain activity. If you keep your brain active, what do you think will happen?

For example, reading a book, doing a crossword puzzle, do something that requires all five senses. Keep learning, continue your education, or take another class if you have finished your schooling. Just keep your brain active, which is the best way to keep your brain sharp. So whatever activity you do, will keep your brain sharp if you keep it up. The way, that I keep my brain sharp is to write all the time and read twenty-four hours a day almost.

Everyone keeps their brain sharp in a different way. Everyone likes their own pass times. Some people like gaming and that takes a lot of thinking. When you play video games that take a lot of thinking your brain is always active and with it being active it keeps it going. The more you keep using your brain the more it will stay sharp. If you just sit and do nothing that, doesn’t help your brain going. The more you keep thinking and doing things that involve your brain, the sharper it will be.

There are different ways, to keep your brain sharp. For example, I am an avid reader, and I love typing. That is all I do. Also when I was in school I had a computer but it was facing the back of the room when the board was at the front. In order for me to type notes, I had to read two or three words at a time, turn around and type them out. So I had to commit the words to memory in order to have my face away from where they were so I could write things down.

Your Brain is as sharp as a tact

In order to keep your brain sharp, you have to teach yourself, how to do it. Everyone has a different, ways of keeping their brains sharp. Some people, do Sudoku puzzles, to keep their minds going. Or even crossword puzzles. Just to keep their brains active. I guess what I am trying to say is that don’t just do nothing when you are out of school or on your free time. You don’t have to, always do things like puzzles, and reading, but don’t stop doing it. You might find other things to do, to keep your brain sharp, and if you do then that is great. Everyone remembers things in their own way, which means everyone keeps their brains sharp, by doing what they think will help, like if someone likes to read then they will do that to keep their brains sharp. If they like to write or do puzzles, they will do that in order to keep their brains sharp. Or at least that is what I think, what do you think helps keep your brain sharp?

I read and write all the time, so my memory is pretty good. If you continue to do things to keep your brain sharp you will, keep your memory for longer. Even if you don't like, what you are doing, but it keeps your brain sharp why not try to do something that you like but will keep your brain sharp at the same time.

Examples are reading a book, doing Sudoku puzzles, crossword puzzles, and word searches. What do you think of this? Also known as limitless things, if you do limitless things your brain will stay sharper longer, so why not try that to keep your brain sharp? Keeping your brain sharp can be limitlessly easy if you keep doing new things that require you to think on a daily basis, an example of this is doing crossword puzzles, reading, writing things like that even sudoku puzzles can keep your brain sharp.

just keep doing limitless things that require your brain to work, the more you do that the sharper your brain is going to be because you are using it more so than just doing mindless things, an example of a mindless thing is watching television or listening to music while not doing anything else. However, I don't really know what that is like except when, I am at the movie theater. When I am at home sitting in front the television I am doing a limitless number of things, sometimes I am writing or reading or I am on my phone, or I am doing all three of those things in limitless succession all at once.

You keep your brain sharp by using it daily don't just sit there doing nothing, if you do that for a limitless amount of time your brain will not work as well because you are not keeping it active. If you want to keep your brain limitlessly sharp always think outside the box about how you can do things. If you keep thinking outside the box limitlessly you will keep your brain sharp which means you will always be on your toes and your memory will just keep getting better. The more, you do with your mind the sharper it will be. You just have to use it limitlessly and your memory will get better and better. There are limitless things that you can do to keep your brain sharp, for example do things that make you think harder then you normally would to keep your brain in the relm of thinking.

Hi Louise, This is a subject I am very interested in. At 67 I find my mind isn't as sharp as it used to be. I forget a lot of things. I like think it's because I have so much in my mind that there is not more room. lol That is one of the reasons I like to do HubPages. It helps to keep my mind thinking and busy. Thanks for sharing this information.

      Blessings to you.
