An Overview of Crossfit
Let's first face facts when it comes to your fitness life. Normal routines, well, they suck. Personally I never did ENJOY 60 minute treadmill sessions, and lifting weights in a standard 4x10 set/rep scheme, well, it was pleasurable at times - but overall, not the epitome of fitness excitement, nor what our bodies are really primed to do, performance-wise.
The military/professional athlete/total badass new-age style of training is Crossfit, and it's becoming wide-spread more and more, as athletes are reaping huge benefits from practicing its methodology. Put everything you've learned about gyms behind you and prepare for a whole new world - and a much improved body to boot.
Basically Crossfit workouts are preset workouts, with a method to the madness, and yes, madness is an optimal word to describe the workouts themselves. Workouts with names such as "Helen" or "Nancy" don't sound too scary, but like they say, "Only a girl can make you feel so bad in such a short amount of time."
And boy is that true. Some of the "Heroine" workouts can take as little as sub 3 minutes if you're good - but those 3 minutes are probably the most hellacious 3 minutes you could endure. A 3 minute workout doesn't sound scary? Try it out and get back to me.
A main goal of Crossfit is to increase your work capacity load during a given period of time. Strength, speed, stamina, flexibility, and a myriad of other fitness elements improve from consistently "Crossfitting."

Brick Crossfit - Hollywood's Newest Super Gym
Located at 7811 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood, Brick Crossfit opened its doors November 1, 2010 and is the go-to facility for elite level athletes and those trying to reach their peak fitness level in a short amount of time.
Classes are available throughout the day and are suitable for beginners to high level athletes. All workouts can be scaled to fit the individual. Also offered are MMA classes - Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai and other arts are taught by former professional fighter and current badass, Jarret Perelmutter.
