Bucket List Ideas 101 Things to do Before You Die

Bucket List Ideas | Source

The Bucket List was one of my favorite movies. I loved the idea of having a set of goals to work for, things to achieve that help ensure you actually live a full life, not just exist through days and years. Of course we all don't have unlimited means and time, but that's no excuse to not use the gifts of imagination and dreaming. Those who focus on higher dreams and goals have a greater tendency to actually achieve them. The movie inspired me to start my own “bucket list” of sorts. Mine was in the form of vision boards and goals that are tacked on my wall.

On my board you'll see an image of the Eiffel Tower, my dream house, and several pieces of furniture I want to learn how to build among other things. Some of my bucket list items are more philosophy on how to live my daily life, others are outlandish things I may never do even if I could, but simply having the list is inspirational in itself. Some of them I have already done, which of course gives me a sense of accomplishment.

I brainstormed with my family and we have come up with 101 Bucket List ideas, from practical to completely irrational and crazy! Hopefully you'll enjoy them and maybe even get some ideas for your own list. We even divided them into their own categories.

The most important thing is to live life fully and enjoy and savor it, regardless of what you do and where you are.

Awesome Bruce, that sounds lovely :) I'm doing a bucket list thing myself these days and opening my own shop... Had I not had a way to stay focused on my goals and blessings I may not have actually taken this leap. It's always a good reminder :)

Thank you Christin! You have inspired this 65 year young man to create his never before thought about list of To-Do's AND my new bucket list will also be a place to deposit all of my blessings!

Hi bdegiulio, I enjoyed the movie too. I think it can be motivating to have a list, but it's also a fun way to just dream too - to use our imagination. I kind of liked keeping some fanciful stuff on there too - stuff I'll never do but it's fun to dream about :) thanks for the read and comment.

Hi Christin. What a great idea for a hub. That's quite a list. I also started a list after watching the movie, the Bucket List. It helps to keep me motivated and always looking ahead to checking off another item. More at job.

Awesome Green Art - I think a bucket list can certainly be motivational. Be sure to place smaller goals on there too and make a big deal of it when you reach them - it gives a new lease on life :)

I've never made a bucket list, but like the idea of it. I too saw the movie "The Bucket List" a few years ago and thought it was a neat concept. Instead of wishing and hoping to do certain things in this life making plans to actually make them happen makes perfect sense. It's a different mind set to think, wow I could save enough money to travel to Europe or see the Grand Canyon for instance. Your list has inspired me to think about making a list of my own. Voted up and interesting.

Thanks for commenting Travel. I stated in the beginning of the hub that many were fanciful and some were realistic. I think bucket lists should be fun and a place where you can let your imagination kick in as well.

Your points on different groups are interesting to read . 'Go to space' is it possible for everyone? The points under 'Emotional Spiritual ' are realistic and I like 'Help those who need it.

Be a good neighbor' . 'Cook a dish from every single country around the world' this is very cool

Nicely written hub. The movie was amazing and I think everyone should at least have a couple of things they should set out to accomplish before the reaper comes for them. Life is short. Might as well make the most of it.

thanks everyone for the lovely comments and for enjoying the hub. NewHorizons P90x is a super intense workout regimen that is incredibly hardcore and difficult. I did the workout one night with the hubs and felt like I had been kicked down the stairs the next day ;) I guess that means it was working lol - it's very intense, but it whips you into shape in 90 days.

I see that your bucket list is a lot like mine. Hopefully we both will be able to mark off one item at a time until we have reached out goal. Great topic....
