Canary seed (alpiste) for weight loss

My pants don’t lie. I tried to fool myself into thinking the laundry soap was shrinking my clothes. I knew it was lie. My clothes weren’t shrinking; I was expanding! And I didn’t like it one bit.

I decided it was time for a change. No, not a change of wardrobe or soap; it was time for a change on my waistline. During my quest I came across several recipes to help me with weight loss. One of the most useful ones (and easier ones) was the canary grass seed milk.

How does canary seed help with weight loss?

Canary grass seed is rich in enzymes, especially an enzyme called LIPASE. Lipase is pretty much your best friend for weight loss. I’m not a scientist, but I will try to explain what it does.

Lipase is the superhero that comes to your help in weight loss

How else does canary seed help with weight loss?

Not only does canary grass seed help destroy the fat cells, it is also a powerful diuretic and has anti-inflammatory properties. Sometimes the weight we carry around is nothing more than fluid retention or inflammation.

Canary grass seed also accelerates your metabolism and helps with digestion problems, which many times are the cause of inflammation or even weight gain.

Lipase helps in breaking down the fatty cells. (Imagine a superhero destroying a meteorite with his laser eyes). Once it has broken them into pieces, it takes the bad fat fragments directly to the cells’ mitochondria, where they’ll meet their demise. In other words, the body will use them immediately for energy, which means they won’t be around to add another pound to your existing love handles.

And just like that canary grass seed can help you get rid of unwanted fat.

How to use it

The best way to use canary seed is to make milk out of it (click here for recipe), and drink that milk 2 to 3 times a day.

When to drink it

Drink it in the morning in an empty stomach and wait 30 minutes eating your first meal

Drink it in the afternoon 30 minutes prior to eating your lunch

Drink it before going to sleep. This should your last meal of the day.

Additional thoughts on weight loss

Losing weight is not always easy, and there isn’t a magic pill or drink that will help you shed ALL your unwanted pounds. Canary grass seed is definitely an extraordinary aid, but is not the complete solution. For better results, combine the seed milk with a healthy diet and exercise.

IN my experience a plant-based diet helped me lose my extra 30 lbs. I am now at my ideal weight, and best part of all, the weight has not returned and I feel better than ever. (click here for that story).

So happy weight loss and may the force be with you!

      Hi T.Burns:

It really depends on your eating habits and activity level. The drink will help you speed your metabolism and digest food better, but as for a number of pounds, I really wouldn't be able to tell you.
