Chakras and Healing Crystals

Updated on June 6, 2017

The word "chakra" is a sanskrit word that translates to a wheel or cycle. There are seven chakras, or energy points, that run throughout the body; beginning at the base of the spine, and ending at the head. These energy points can become blocked, which can lead to serious health problems; physical and emotional. All hope is not lost though, because there are several techniques used to balance and realign these special energy points. One of the most popular methods of doing this is to use healing crystals in chakra meditation.

How to Perform the Meditation

First, decide which corresponding crystals you would like to use for each chakra. Gather them and a tourmaline crystal - this crystal will protect you from negative energies and thoughts throughout the meditation.

Arrange the crystals in the proper sequence beside you on the ground. Be sure you are lying down and in a relaxed state of mind. To realign each energy point, place the chosen stone for the chakra directly on the energy point for several minutes each.

Now, you may be asking, "How do I know what crystal to use and where to find each chakra on my body?" Each chakra requires certain traits from crystals and I will go in depth on how to properly choose the right crystals for your chakras.
