What Another Lose Weight Book
The absolute thing I needed to do was read another how to lose weight book this week but my neighbor upstairs in my building handed me a book that is changing my life
I have been on a diet since I turned 13 years old… sound familiar. I’m older now by four decades and don’t want to rock the beach in a bikini when I enter…ahhhhhhh the good old days, but I still wish for a swim suit to look great and feel that I look good in one.
The secret is change the way you breathe. We do not have a weight problem we have a breathing problem.
The name of the book is Jumpstart your Metabolism by Pam Grout.
I of course did not believe changing the way you breathe would work …it sounds so simple how come I never heard of it before. With nothing to lose except weight if it worked, and the cost is nothing, I decided to try it.
What you do is breathe from that amazing body partition of muscle we all have called the diaphragm instead of your chest.
Right now, put your hand on your lower abdomen and your other hand on your chest, and take a deep breath and hold it in. If you are one of the lucky ones your stomach went out.
Some of us breath, backwards and our stomach would have gone in. Some of us take shallow breaths from our chest.
Here’s the deal if you learn to breath from your diaphragm in deep long slow breaths you take a hundred times a day you will lose weigh, increase your energy, slows down stress, anxiety, burn calories more efficiently, and keep your weight off just by taking deep breaths.
So in line ups at the grocery store, walking to work, every commercial on TV … I take a deep breath from my lower stomach to the count of ten, hold it to the count of twelve and breathe out for the count of sixteen.
That’s it breathe and lose weight… I have been doing it for a year now and still take a 100 deep breathes every day and I must admit I feel a whole lot better. Have good day breathing my fellow Hubbers. All your comments are always welcome.
