Coca Cola is spreading Happiness - Thanks Coke!

Coca Cola Spreading Happiness?

We had a very neat experience in my family, at my house yesterday evening.  When I say that Coca Cola is spreading happiness, I am not kidding!   We got this fairly decent sized red bad with handles, that says "Coca Cola, Open Happiness."  Inside were 24 cans of Coca Cola products!

Let me back up, and share the brief story.  First, I was coming home after a long day at work, and see this very large van on the street, going slowly, then stopping.  I couldn't make out exactly what it was at first, until I focused more, then thought, "A large Coca Cola Van?"  Well, it was, and when I got home, around the corner this is how the story went.

My son was home, my 17 year old, and wasn't able to get to the door right away when the doorbell rang.  His curiosity was up and he saw a man walking away from our house to the Coca Cola Van/vehicle.  He went up to the man and said, "Excuse me sir, but I saw you come to my house, and wanted to know what you needed?"  The man reached over, and gave my son this large bag of 24 cans of soda, and said, "Here is what you missed, Its Happiness!"  My son was so excited, and so thankful and I am sure both had big smiles because I could tell as I was hearing the story just how cool this was.  The man was happy that was doing it, and all the people in the neighborhood seemed to be so happy too!  That is Happiness!  Thank you Coca Cola!

Coca Cola Zero

Happy Happiness near the Holidays

Like I said, these were 24 cans, mini cans actually, of Coke, Coke Zero and Diet Coke.  Twenty Four in all.  I want to make clear, that I am in no way affiliated with Coca Cola, but have always just loved it, and this kindness on a cold Friday evening really made our day.  So I wanted to say thank you to Coca Cola for doing such an awesome promotion, and spreading joy!  It was so totally unexpected and generous.  You just don't see companies going above and beyond like this, so I wanted to spread the news and happiness to others.

The Red Bag is reusable, and so we will be reusing that, but enclosed in the bag is a coupon for more 8 packs of any Coca Cola product in mini cans.  You won't believe this, but it is for another FREE 8 pack!  The mini can's are 7.5 ounces, and very "cute", a perfect size really.  I love the other cans, but this is something fun and different.

There is another tag, which looks like it was hanging on the bag, or could be on a door, that says, "Open Happiness for the Holidays with family and friends!"

I think this is just what we will try to do, as life is precious and flying by, and its a great way to say thank you to those that have been so kind and generous when they didn't have to.

I don't know what the plan is on Coca Cola's side, or if a van may be coming to an area near you or not, but keep your eye out for a big Coca Cola Van. If I could give a hug to the person that came up with this idea, and those that allowed it to come to fruition I would! Thank you, and you did spread happiness for sure! Such an unexpected treat especially during what are some hard times for people in the economy. I know we will never forget it!  I hope the ROI (return on investment), is great for Coca Cola on this.

      oceansunsents,

Last year, I must have spend one entire hour just playing and replaying their history of commercials - oh, they were so wonderful! Love the sunshine they bring. I don't like commercials but their Christmas specials with Santa looking so Jolly is very special.

Peter, I don't mind people voicing their opinions at all. I appreciate the comment all the same, and its good for people to consider everything they put into their bodies. People do make their own decisions of what they put in their bodies, and it isn't like tobacco or alcohol or drugs, but I hear you. Thank you for the comment.

That's great except for the fact that companies like Coca-Cola are filling people up with sugar and putting addictive toxic chemicals in their products. I'm sorry if I sound a bit over the top, but I thought I'd voice my opinion that soda is very unhealthy. Feel free to delete my comment. I don't wish to be rude.

Yes! They came to my neighborhood yesterday (Sunday) and I live in the suburbs outside of Washington, D.C. I looked online to see if I could find what the deal is with this promotion or how you qualify, but I knew something was strange when I saw about 6 workers in Christmas outfits walking around the neighborhood counting homes before I turned the corner and saw the big truck and vans parked and people gathering recyclable bags filled with Cokes.

Terri, It is easy to be a skeptic now days, people and companies just hardly do anything nice like this, and not to this degree either. I bet they are getting a lot of that.

UGH!!! I thought it was a salesperson and declined the offer. She just left. Darn that I have become such a skeptic.
