Coconut oil is available through the internet, health food stores and at Walmart.

Coconut has been misunderstood in the past and thought to have no beneficial qualities until recently. The truth is that coconut oil is essentially very good for the body, internally and externally. Cold pressed coconut oil is great to cook with and gives the food sauted or baked with it a fabulous taste and texture that no other oil can dublicate. Best of all it has no trans fat like even olive oil has so it can even help cholestrol levels.

7 Reasons why you should use coconut oil:

1.) Maintaining or lowering bad cholestrol levels

2.) Increasing the immunity of the body

3.) Assists in weight loss

4.) Boost metabolism

5.) Antiviral

6.) Antibacterial

7.) Antifungal

Coconut oil is rich in lauric acid.  Lauric acid is key in fighting soar throats, dental cavities and thrush.  It kills urinary tract infections, fungal and yeast infections and can even fight diaper rash.  Using coconut oil in your daily cooking and baking can actually help you to live a more healthy livestyle and it doesn't have to stop with just using coconut oil.  Coconut is available as a solid oil for cooking and you don't need a large amount to cook.  You can also add coconut flake to dishes or use coconut flour to bake with instead of all purpose flour for cookies, pies, cakes, etc.

Coconut oil can normally be found in health food stores but Walmart does carry a brand called LouAna and it is in the same isle as the other cooking oils.  Coconut oil though is not a liquid oil but a solid and is normally found in glass or plastic containers.  A small container lasts a long time as you don't need to use a large amount to cook or bake with.
