Egg Yolk is a part of an egg which feeds the developing embryo. Egg yolk is a source of lecithin. The yellow color is due to luterin and zeaxanthin, which are yellow or orange carotenoids known as xanthophylls. The different yolk proteins have distinct roles. Phosvitins are important in sequestering calcium, iron and other cations for the developing embryo.

Honey is mainly fructose produced by bees using nectar flowers. As with all nutritive sweeteners, honey is mostly sugars. Honey also contains tiny amounts of several compounds thought to function as antioxidants, including chrysin, pinobanksin, vitamin C, catalase and pinocembrin. The specific composition of any batch of honey depends on the flowers available to the bees that produced the honey.
