Average Cost of Dental Implants - How Much are Dental Implants
The cost of dental implants is often a deciding factor in a persons decision as to whether to have dental implants or not, perhaps deciding to live with the missing tooth instead of incurring the expense. Many people considering the procedure are of course asking what's the average cost of dental implants to decide whether they can afford the procedure or not.
So, what in the UK, is the actual cost of dental implants?
Dental Implant Prices Hidden
A quick look for prices of dental implants in the UK is next to impossible to verify through a google search as prics can vary significantly for many reasons including experience of the dental practice and even their location. However, it should probably be generally accepted that they would cost between £1000 and possibly even more than £3000.
Whilst there is no doubt that dental implants are a quality replacement for missing teeth and can last 30 years and more, this is still a major outlay for most people, especially in these times of recession.
So what about cheap options for dental implants?
Cheap Options for Dental Implants
Interestingly some google searches throw up results which indicate prices for dental implants at a little over £500. However, on closer inspection, these dental practices virtually always employ dentists from Eastern Europe and most probably expect their patients to go abroad for their dental implant procedure.
In fact, there is a growing trend for dental implant holidays, where, for an all in cost of a little less than £1000, which is a significant saving for those worried about their tooth implant cost . To make this kind of saving, a person will travel to a dentist abroad, most likely in Budapest, Hungary or somewhere in Poland, or if in the US, most likely to Mexico where the cosmetic dentistry industry is booming. This cost will include not only the treatment but also flights and hotel accomodation for a few days.
Whilst this does sound good value for money and allows the patient time to recover in their hotel room, there is the problem of not really knowing the quality of the dentist abroad. For most, this will probably work out fine, however, it is likely that there will be those cashing in on the trend for dental holidays that may not be as well qualified as they claim.
So yes, the cost of dental implants is an important factor but so should be the health of our teeth!
