Create A Vision Board For Your Dreams And Goals

Updated on September 30, 2014

Creating a vision board can help you to recognize your dreams and goals. A lot of this is inspired by reading about the law of attraction and using visualization. The things that you would like to have in your life can be displayed on this board and the board can be put somewhere so that you can see it everyday. If you do want to keep it out in the open, due to privacy concerns, then you may want to hang the board up on the inside of a closet door in your bedroom.

A vision board can made with a large poster board, depending on how big you would like to your display to be. You can then find images of the things that you would like to attract in your life by cutting them out of magazines, catalogs, brochures, advertisements or printing them out from your computer.

Let's say some of your dreams or goals are to buy a new car and go on a vacation. You could find an advertisement for the type of car that you wish to drive, cut it out and paste or tape it to your vision board. If you would like to go away on an island vacation, cutting out pictures of scenes with a beach and palm trees would be ideal for your vision board.

Whatever goal or dream you desire to achieve can be put on this board. If you wish to buy a new house, look for pictures of houses, whether it be in a real estate brochure or online and cut them out. Pick out the houses that closely resemble the type of house that you wish to buy. Then you place them on your vision board. Make sure not to clutter your board with too many pictures. It may overwhelm you to have a lot images on your board and may steer you away from focusing your attention on each particular goal.

Creating the vision board is just one part of the project. You must also believe that you can achieve these dreams and goals in order to help make it more realistic for you to attain them. Close your eyes and envision these goals in your head for a few minutes each day. This should help you stay on track with your goals. Another thing to remember is that this is your vision board, so when you visualize these dreams and goals, picture yourself in the the images enjoying these things.

In other words, if you want to attract a new Ford Mustang car, you will cut out a picture of a Ford Mustang and paste it onto your board. You could also cut out a picture of yourself and place it in the car so that it looks like you are driving the car. Always visualize yourself in these dreams and boards.

Placing your dreams and goals on a vision board may help you to obtain the things that you wish to have in your life. Your subconscious mind will absorb these images and inspire you and hopefully give you the motivation that you need to turn your dreams into reality.
