Last Day of Cheating Before Crossfit / Weight loss Journey Starts

Tomorrow is the big day! Crossfit on-ramp starts at 6am. Thankful that it wasn't today, as I had minimal sleep and the time change didn't help. My new Crossfit shoes came in the mail yesterday. So at least my feet will look good when I do something stupid tomorrow and end up on my butt! To say I'm nervous would be an understatement. The last time I remember having good upper body strength was twenty years ago (and 65 pounds lighter). So the though of doing a push up, pull up, or any other upper body task is a little daunting. It is one of those situations that you really don't know what you're capable of until you've been tested. Being tested is the scary part! No one WANTS to fail and realize they cannot do something. In all honesty, that is what scares me the most. I WANT to succeed, so I'm telling myself that I will.

With tomorrow being the start of my new fitness adventure, I had to get something out of the way. I HAD to eat Chinese. That way, I would not crave it for some time and would be less likely to eat something I shouldn't. It is an excuse for eating something I want, I'm sure, but today I will accept that excuse as truth. After my indulgence of spring rolls, fried rice and sweet-and-sour chicken, I came home to do laundry in preparation for tomorrow. Exercise shirt and capris (every self-conscience spot covered): Check. Sports bra (extra important since I'm breastfeeding): Check. Socks (black, evidently it's a must): Check. Underwear (that don't show through my capris, hey it's important!): Check. Headband (who wants sweat in their eyes?): Check. Awesome shoes (but we've covered this already): Check. Towels for car (would hate to sweat on my seat): Check. Water bottle (I would hate to get dehydrated): Check. Nerves of steel, balance and bravery: still searching for those.

Now off to important things, like napping and cuddling with little man. That 4:30am alarm will be here before I know it. Keep me in your thoughts in the morning, as I need all the positive vibes that I can get!

      Good luck with your new exercise class. When I start a new one, I find a lot of the energy is used in learning the moves.
