Cure Acne With Natural Home Remedies

Updated on January 19, 2017

Natural home remedy cures for acne are springing up all over the Internet, some of the advice is pretty good while some of the suggestions border on being pure silly. How do you tell which ones are cures that will work apart from the ones that are simply old wives tails? The answer is either trial and error or research, research and more research. Here we are going to take a look at five natural remedies that do not cost much and that actually work.

Acne affected individuals have more than likely studied just about everything there is regarding miracle cures that can rid you of acne overnight. It is a medical fact that there are no immediate cures for acne, sure you can help keep it under control but there is no such cream that you can apply to make it magically vanish.

Acne is a skin condition that a person must grow out of. Do not waste time and money on overnight remedies that do not work. Instead research what casues acne, this will help you understand it better and help as you look at ways in which you can help treat it without spending a fortune. Don't mix up acne with acne scars, it is much harder to rid acne scars than the acne itself. The scars are literally a scarring left on the skin due to severe acne leavings its mark.

Please remember that we are all different, what works well for one person might not work so great on the next. I am not telling you to abandon conventional medical treatment, I am simply giving you some natural non chemical ways to fight acne or methods that you might wish to try alongside a pharmaceutical acne product. Below I have detailed five 5 natural cures for acne that have been proven to work (not miracally cure but help).

Acne Cab Be Treated

Cure Acne Using Raw Honey

Raw Honey is already one of the better known cures but in case it is new to you. Ensure you have raw honey, not the liquid stuff you get in a bottle or squeezy container. After giving your face a good wash (use anti bacterial face wash if possible) apply the honey to the face and leave for ten minutes before washing it off.

Natural raw honey is excellent at killing medicine resistant bacteria. If you add a few drops of lemon juice to the honey then you have created yourself an alternative face wash.

Cure Acne Using Olive Oil

Olive oil is already used in a vast variety of skin care creams and moisturizers. When applied on the skin, olive oil serves as a preventing and natural healing agent. Get some lemon juice and measure out 1/8 of a teaspoon, add this to tablespoon of olive oil (if you can use extra virgin olive oil).

Mix the two ingredients before applying direct to the acne paying special attention to any acne scarring. Leave in place for at least 20 minutes prior to washing away with luke warm water. As an alternative, you could try substituting the lemon juice for baking powder, one teaspoon is adequate. Mix with the olive oil and use as a facial scrub last thing at night before retiring to bed.

Treat Acne Using Epsom Salts

Epsom salts, the world famous laxative treatment is also good at treating acne. Take your preferred daily cleansing cream and mix it with about half a tablespoon of Epsom salt. Rub the mix into your face paying attention to acne problematic areas before washing off.

As long as you dissolve 2 tablespoons in a cup of water you can apply it directly to your face with the aid of a face cloth or wad of cotton. leave it on your face for at least 20 minutes. Epsom salts are a naturally occurring nutrient with quite a few medical uses. Epsom salts work great as a cooling agent on itchy, dry skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar To Cure Acne

Apple Cider Vinegar is found throughout almost all market stores apple cider vinegar can be used to treat acne when it is diluted with water. Take two tablespoons of the cider vinegar and mix with an ounce of water. Using a cotton woll pad apply the solution directly to the acne and leave for 10 minutes.

You should repeat this several times through the day as the minerals contained within the apple cider vinegar to are great at fighting the bad bacteria that causes acne. This is also a good treatment for people with more sensitive skin as it works with all skin types.

Cure Acne With Coconut Oil

If you have acne you probably know that oily skin is a no no, you have always been told it is something you need to avoid. Yet here I am with a natural cure that contains oil, am I mad I hear you ask? The reason as to why coconut oil is an exception to the rule is down to two important fatty acids and a high concentrate of vitamin E.

The two fatty acids are lauric and capric, both contain antimicrobial properties. Lauric and capric attack and destroy harmful bacterias in the skin. Vitamin E is a very important nutrient for healthful skin. It is very important that you cleanse your face thoroughly before proceeding with this treatment.

You need a clean skin surface with open pores for this method to work. Apply the coconut oil direct to the clean skin surface gently rubbing it in and leaving in place for twenty minutes if you can obtain it, virgin coconut oil works best. After 20 minutes remove any excess by washing the face again and pat dry.
