DMT (Dimethyltryptamine)

Updated on April 24, 2016

The basement was dark and smelt of mold. There was no furniture to speak of. A dirty futon mattress, with a sleeping bag that was splotched with green and blue paint was crudely thrown over it. An ample sized, ripped, blue bean bag chair appeared to be the only other place to sit besides the mattress. I had been here a few times before, so I took my spot on the bean bag chair. I waited slightly impatiently as my friend filled a glass pipe with a bottom and top layer of marijuana, with about 2 milligrams of DMT sandwiched in the middle. He took his seat next to me on his futon mattress and handed me the pipe. He watched with a smile as I put the pipe to my lips. He stayed close to my side, knowing as soon as the DMT took its effect, he would need to take the pipe from me so I wouldn’t drop it from the loss of coordination.

The first hit was mostly the marijuana on top but my taste sensed something a bit bitter, the DMT I made sure my second hit was much bigger than the first, successfully burning through to the DMT After exhaling my second hit I quickly handed the pipe to my friend. Almost instantaneously my whole body started to tingle as a pleasant sensation of inner warmth washed over me. Blackness began to creep from the corner of my vision and started to grow. When it increased to the point of my vision almost being entirely engulfed in darkness I blared out, “I want to stay on this planet!” while Pink Floyd’s album ‘Dark Side of the Moon’ ironically played in the back-round. Just moments after yelling out, the blackness dissipated from my eyes and the light revealed a whole new world.

What I saw resembled nothing I have ever seen on planet Earth. I later joked that it was the Mother-ship. Everything in the room appeared as if it had melted into a soup of colors that swirled and moved about to the music. I glanced over at my friend but it was too intense. The light and energy that seemed to emit off of him was so overwhelming that I had to immediately look away. There was nothing in the room I recognized. I looked down at my arms and hands to see “something real”. My arms and hands seemed relatively normal, but I now had three of them. I tried to stand and walk around the room but the floor felt like it was spinning underneath my feet, so I sat back down in my spot on the bean bag chair and let the Mother-ship take me to another planet.

Dimethyltryptamine, better known as, DMT, is said to be the strongest hallucinogen known to man. But many people have never even heard of this mysterious drug, much less know anything about it, unlike its popular psychedelic sister LSD. DMT is a psychedelic belonging to the tryptamine family, which means it is derived from either, plants, fungi or animals. DMT is a natural chemical that already exists inside the human brain. It is released from the pineal gland (also called the “Third Eye”) only when we are under great stress or for a few other reasons such as; childbirth, extreme physical trauma, when we are born and when we die. There are many people who believe DMT is also released anytime we experience R.E.M. sleep and that without DMT, R.E.M. sleep would be impossible. So essentially this would mean your dreams would be the product of a DMT trip in your sleep. This has yet to be proven.

The most common way to indulge in DMT is by smoking it. Since DMT burns very quickly and is easily evaporated by a naked flame, most people will smoke it with marijuana. They do this by putting a layer of marijuana in the bottom and on top of a bowl of a glass piece with DMT sandwiched in the middle. When inhaled, the effects of DMT will hit you almost immediately and last up to fifteen minutes. Most people take anywhere from 2 to 60 milligrams in just one dose.

Moments after inhaling a hit of DMT, your blood pressure rises, your heart rate increases, your pupils will become noticeably larger and then your trip will ensue. As the DMT enters your body, it begins to activate the serotonin receptors inside your brain. It converts the hormones released by these receptors into psychedelic compounds. When these psychedelic compounds enter into the blood stream, you start to hallucinate. The serotonin receptor that is most responsible for these psychedelic effects is the 5-HT2A receptor but the 5-HT2C receptor also plays a large role in the overall effect of the drug.

The are many different hallucinations that a person will experience while under the influence of DMT, but almost all can agree it is one of the most powerful trips you will experience in your life. It has been said, unlike LSD, when you trip on DMT, there is not even a shred of ordinary reality left. It is as if you have gone to another planet that is nothing like Earth. The drug is a complete sensory overload. Usually your coordination is negatively affected, so most people sit or lie during their entire trip. It is believed that the majority experience a pleasant trip to another world while on DMT. However, those who have gone on a “bad trip” describe all different varieties of their own “Hell”.

DMT Aliens
DMT Aliens

Those unfortunate few who experience a bad trip while on DMT sometimes see beings that can only be described as “Aliens” who speak to them or sometimes “take control” of their brain, making them feel as if they have no control over their own mind, body or actions. Others see distorted versions of demons or unpleasant creatures that don’t have any good intentions. If what the evil creature is saying is in an audible language that the person can understand, they never have anything nice to say. Sometimes they will threaten you or say frightening things. Just about any sort of nightmarish creature, thing or scenario the mind can create can become as real as the nose on your face while on this powerful drug. The boundaries of what you can hallucinate have no limits, but are almost always other worldly and look like nothing of this Earth. Sometimes these bad trips that only last five or ten minutes in reality, can feel like hours, even sometimes DAYS to the person experiencing it. The thought of being trapped in a nightmare inside your own head for what seems like hours, is a nightmare in itself.

A good trip on DMT is hard to describe, but one word that seems fitting is definitely “beautiful”. What you see and where you will go on your short trip has no boundaries. Wherever you are and whatever else is around you won’t look anything like it did before you started tripping. It will look like nothing of this Earth, completely unrecognizable. Sometimes everything around you will just melt into a puddle of colors on the ground, while the rest of the world looks like a smeared canvas painting. Most objects seem brighter than normal and appear to have light or something that somehow looks like “energy” radiating off of them. People also have the appearance of being surrounded by energy as well, much more so than inanimate objects. Sometimes looking at people while tripping is a bit overwhelming, even while on a good trip.

Colorful, geometric shapes that swirl or move, sometimes in the shape of a person or unknown life-form is one of the most common hallucinations. These geometric shapes have the same energy as humans and other objects pulsating off of them as they move about, most likely to music that is either really playing or just playing inside your head. When you hallucinate a person or life-form it isn’t uncommon for them to speak to you, usually not saying much. Their messages are short and sweet, usually containing some sort of advice or enlightenment. Sometimes these life-forms speak in what can only be described as the language of their people.

The body high accompanied with the DMT is very similar to the one that LSD produces but a tad more intense. Your limbs feel nice and tingly, your whole inside warm, maybe a few butterflies in your stomach, absolutely no physical pain and generally you feel very euphoric. A very few number of people have complained of nausea and vomiting, but that is most likely attributed to impurities that made their way into the drug during manufacturing, not the actual drug itself . Overall, it is a very pleasant body high that some say lasts for up to another forty five minutes after the psychedelic effects of the drug have worn off.

The decision to take DMT should not be a rash one. You should never take DMT alone for your first few times. The person that will guide you through your trip should not be under the influence of any hallucinogens and be somewhat knowledgeable of them. You do not know how you will react to the drug and do not want to hurt yourself or anyone else. If you have a bad trip, this person can help guide you through it or call 911 if necessary. One should also make other appropriate preparations before taking the drug such as finding an environment that is safe, comfortable and preferably very familiar. The easiest way to have a bad trip is to be in an uncomfortable, foreign environment. MOST IMPORTANTLY, try to find a person you trust to buy your DMT. from. There are many people selling research chemicals and they are calling it DMT, when in fact it is nothing like it. These research chemicals can have some serious, even fatal side effects. When it doubt, do without! Stay safe my friends!

It depends on how much you take.

But the DMT experience has absolutely nothing to do with the setting/environment... like you mentioned. The setting is your mind, your inner self... so where you are would have no effect, really.

      Reality

From the Cree Tribe, wired with the Haplogroup X-2 DNA, in my 61st year, 1500 + sweat-lodge trips to the Eagle’s Domain (the great void where all potentiality resides). I’ve lived a wonderful exciting life (lucky in love) and have studied our native cultural wisdom and anybody else’s with any substance.

This past year I was seriously injured falling a large Alder tree and came to a place in healing retrospection, asking myself what was my relationship with reality? I came away from that with the obvious, “I did not have a functioning relationship with Reality”.

Every teacher from time immemorial was trying to teach us (without actually saying it of course) that as beings we possessed tremendous unused spirit consciousness resources, and in each their own way, attempted to share their insights on how to access and utilize these, to our benefit. The wisdom of the ages can all be distilled down to onboard brain chemical secretions, specifically the atrophied but golden pituitary and pineal (DMT) glands. The ancients left us the trancendental schematic, the Caduceus Symbol reminding us that the path to enlightenment, was and is brain glandular secretions. The ancient symbol is missunderstood and has been reduced to a shirt logo for ambulance drivers.

Anyone who has lit a DMT pipe will tell you the brain is capable of processing 10,000 years of intense experiential data in only 10 fr*kin minutes. Unbelievable brain bandwidths are available to each and everyone of us. Our DNA designers did not leave us the owner’s manual and that has left us in this lobotomized brain state with atrophied pituitary and pineal (DMT) glands. Fortunately they can be quickly rejuvenated and brought back on line seriously kicking up the brain bandwidths. Personal Sovereignty is a real achievable possibility. To learn a simple "duck to water" gland rejuvenation technique and kick up the brain bandwidth, go to: http://fukushima50.blogspot.ca/

The reality is we are living in an age of consciousness without a functioning relationship with reality. We need to get over the fact that from a cosmological perspective, we are an emerging civilization with a multiple history as a failed society in the process of blowing it again for the umpteen time.

Of necessity, a functioning relationship with reality includes, Gnosticism, Alchemy, ET, Archons, Lockheed Martin Ben Rich’s alumni disclosure, knowledge of the advanced civilizations who built the precision stone megaliths (that we can not build today), being present to nature's process of creating matter from information encoded energy, LENR, that consciousness and matter are quantumly coupled, rejuvenated pituitary and pineal (DMT) glands, the value of service, a loving family and the wilful intention to have a source connected relationship with reality.

With these in place we have a chance to be in the cosmic game called life and without them we are basically hooped.

      Sovereignty

Well a DMT trip is not quite like an average dream. It is the most vivid, amazing, twisted dream you have ever had (usually). I do not know of a better away.

Pure DMT without any impurities should not induce any bad physical side effects. A person who is suffering mentally or has any serious neurological or mental disorders may experience a bad trip, so they should not be using any hallucinogens without being under the care of a physician. People with the above issues I stated also tend to have more nightmares.

Funny! If DMT is necessary for REM sleep, what's the point? We do remember some of our dreams... why do we need another hallucinogen to induce similar effects. Surely there are better ways to dream without any side effects.
