Most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be.
Many people feel that daily affirmations are simplistic and ineffective . Even I admit there have been times that I have felt a little silly standing in front of my bathroom mirror repeating my good thoughts for the day . However it is a proven fact that what we focus on we bring into focus. For those of us who have lived in negative environments sometimes it is far to easy to see the dark side of life. As as child we may have been overwhelmed with negative and critical messages . For many of us we carry these messages into adulthood replaying the hurtful words over and over for years . Allowing them to steal our joy .
Daily affirmations are a great way to begin to refraim your inner thoughts .
Find 5 things that you can be proud of about in your self or your life and repeat them faithfully morning and night to yourself 10 times each for at least 6 weeks . Don't worry if this difficult at first many of us in the beginning had trouble . If you can't think of 5 things to be proud of think of 5 things you are grateful for .
Over time as your mind starts to focus on the positive , you will see more and more to be positive about.
