Death's Swift Hand

Updated on September 24, 2012

How doth this life

so short abide.

Hath death’s swift hand

cast life aside?

One minute here,

the next tis gone.

Leaving one with

a bleak new dawn.

Its presence felt

a shocking touch.

Seemingly left,

With not so much.

Why is it so?

Cannot be known

Time’s countenance

Might it be shown.

One’s left to cry,

and show remorse

Such hardship comes.

It is life’s course.

So on one goes

To live their life

Ne’er to forget

The toil and strife.

Confused one be.

There is a plan.

The Maker knows.

Unknown by man.

So trust we must.

The best shall be.

E’en though it not.

How we do see.

Very encouraging. God does have a plan, even though it looks bleak at the moment. Great verses and very expressive.
