Vitimins that have helped Me

Are you aware that Sunlight provides a very important vitamin for your body? That vitamin is vitamin D-3. Vitamin D-3 is so important when it comes to depression. They say that you should have at least 15 Min's per day of sunlight, and specially if you are not living in sunnier climates you need even more than 15 Min's per day. Without Sunblock. Sunblock blocks the actual healthy rays from your body and it even leads to skin cancer. So if your using sunblock or not getting sun at all. Then it is very possible that if you are suffering from depression this is definitely one of the causes. Allot of vitamins with calcium and magnesium offer Vitamin D but some are Vitamin D-2 this is not the one you want to buy. Through my research the FDA has not concluded on this vitamin. The one you do want to get is Vitamin D-3 and take alot of it.

Vitamin D-3 : I cannot stress enough how much this vitamin has helped me.I am going to post a YouTube video on this particular vitamin. It has to be Vitamin D-3 (sunlight) Most people do not get enough sun light or use sunscreen to prevent the most needed nutrient that all life needs.

Please watch this video. This video is incredible on the information of this wonderful vitamin and how important it is for our health. Whether it be from sunlight or in pill form. I like to take it on rainy days or days where im in the house allot. There are many more videos on this as well and lots of research.

Fish Oils

Fish Oils: is another that has helped me quite a bit with depression. Omega 3's, You can buy this supplement, as Fish oils, Cod Liver oils etc etc. Or you can just eat Salmon Twice a week and get the same benefits as taking fish oils in a capsule.

Fish Oils has been proven in College students, that their grades were much much higher for those who were supplementing verses those who were not. Fish oils can cure in fact many mental issues. There is allot of research on Fish oils and I hope you check this video out concerning this wonderful supplement.

I am going to post a YouTube video discussing the importance of fish oils and mental health.

Other Natural Remedies

St John's Wort: a natural anti-depressant. Good for mild to moderate depression, take about 300 mg three times a day. (Do not take this with SSRI medication)

5-HTP: a Natural Prozac, caturally increases serotonin levels. It is important in the formation of neurotransmitters in the brain. (note do not take this with SSRI medication)

SAM-e: 400 mg daily, relieves both depression and pain in many instances.

Liquid serotonin: is one of the neurotransmitters in the brain that helps us feel calm and relaxed. This can be used with the serotonin is depleted in the brain from depression. This is safe for all ages and at any time of the day.Should be used with other amino acids.

Coenzyme Q-10: Stimulates your immunity and helps decrease immune deficientcies in time of chronic depression, anxiety and grief.

Carlson Aces: Antioxidants are crucial when battling emotional illnesses.

tyrosine: this is needed for brain function People with prolonged or or intense stress this is very useful.(note: do not take this if u are taking MAO inhibitor.

Exercising

Exercising is very important for depression, of course consult your physician before beginning any type of exercise program to make sure you are healthy enough to start one.

Exercise can help you loose weight, boost your immune system and energy levels, helps with anti aging, makes you look and feel younger, boosts your confidence level, and also your energy levels, it  helps to rid the body of excess water weight, and excess hormones in your blood that can build up if your not moving around much. Specifically women, a hormone build up can bring an onset of mood swings, its just very important to receive some sort of exercise to help with most health for your body and mind.

Support Groups

I have learned through experience that it is very important to have a Support system. Whether it be family, church, friends, or couseling, some kind of mental support system is very important when suffering from depression. It helps alot to know that your not alone, and that their are many others that are going through the very exact same thing that you are going through.

Take Suicidal Thoughts Seriously

Thoughts about death or suicide are common in depression, and it's important to take such thoughts seriously. If you feel like giving up or as if you might hurt yourself, get help immediately:

  • Call your doctor
  • Go to the emergency room
  • Call 911
  • Call the National Suicide Prevention Helpline: 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433)
