Do we need daylight savings time????

Updated on April 1, 2009

Mother Nature Takes Care

In my humble opinion I think Mother Nature takes care of us just fine. Why do we need DST? (Daylight Savings Time?) some say it saves us electrical energy, but is it enough to matter?? Yes in the summer time it may help..but the days are longer anyway. I realize the Farmer's can use this time..and we can't get along without for them I am happy.

But I have heard there are more accidents when we get dark at 4:30 p.m. and it is more dangerous then it needs to be.

From an older person's view, it is very hard to well as for the young.

My Mother and all the residents at the Assisted Living Facility (well most of them) were totally lost. Arrived at breakfast one hour early and thought they weren't serving breakfast..

I personally changed all my Mom's clocks, wrist watch, but some never got changed. I felt this was a very sad situation for them to have to deal with. I would have gladly helped each one get their clocks changed..but no one asked me?? Nor did the facility do it?

This is my first time dealing with this kind of a situation and I get a bit upset...I just feel these sweet elderly folks deserve to be pampered and taken well care of. Especially at the prices they are charged. They have saved and paid insurances for years to be cared for..and these corporations just suck the life out of make a profit...we will all be Judged in the end...So I keep trying to make my Mom comfortable and as happy as possible. and not burden her with the details..cause she deserves to live the rest of her life as well and peaceful as possible. Amen

DST is stupid. If you want to get up earlier, do it and quit bothering the rest of us!

Oh...I dislike Daylight Savings Time. It does not save energy like it was supposed to do. I'd rather just not have it at all, but it has been suggested(tongue-in-cheek) to split the difference, and just stay there! Shucks! Thanks for agreeing with me too!
