Is Your Medication Killing You? RESEARCH! There May Be Another Answer For You!

Updated on July 21, 2013

Harsh? Yes.

Yes, that title may be a little harsh. It needs to be. For the last 25 years (okay, I believe I aged just looking at that statement), I have been an herbalist. I have watched many of my family, friends and loved ones die or be severely damaged because they allowed themselves to fall into a trap. The trap where one is raised to believe all doctors are Gods. This hub is not a doctor bashing hub. Doctors are wonderful and have their places firmly carved out in this world. Most of them have worked tirelessly and expansively to learn and hone their crafts and help their fellow human beings. I applaud them and respect them. When it comes to broken bones or an emergency, they are the ones to see or be seen by. I do not worship them or trust them with my life in general. My life is mine.

If there is something wrong with me, if I'm not feeling up to snuff (other than the occasional cold or flu), I'll go to the doctor. I'll get a diagnosis if it can be gotten. Then I'll go home and research that diagnosis. I'll research the reasons for said diagnosis. I'll double, triple and quadruple check my symptoms with all the available information. And let's face it, there is a lot of available information. Between the Internet and the library I'll pretty much narrow down whether I believe the doctor or not. If not, I'll go to another doctor and start over. What I won't do is immediately start sucking down whatever pills they decide I need to take.

Many Doctors Believe in Integrative Medicine

Facts

Fact, the US health-care system is the third leading cause of death. (The following is taken from none other than the Journal of The American Medical Association, 284, 483 - 485, via the Herbal Healer Academy)

Fact: There are 12,000 deaths per year due to unnecessary surgery.

Fact: There are 7,000 deaths per year due to medical errors in hospitals.

Fact: There are 20,000 deaths per year due to other errors in hospitals.

Fact: There are 80,000 deaths per year due to infections from hospitals.

Fact: There are 106,000 deaths per year due to negative effects of drugs.

These are just the recorded ones.

Don't even get me started on the deaths of pets due to everything we are told to feed them with, shoot them up with, dip them into, slime into their skin and various other atrocities.

Would You Take These Without Knowing What They Can Do To You?
Would You Take These Without Knowing What They Can Do To You?

Alternatives

Read the facts above one more time please. Really read them. Take a moment, let them sink in. Do you really want to blindly listen to what that doctor is telling you to dose yourself with right now? Not to mention the over the counter meds. Yikes!

This just in: Acetaminophen May Double Asthma Risk In Kids!

Duh.

Sorry, I realize how juvenile that just sounded but really? Seriously? Has anyone ever bothered to read inserts on these meds? On any meds?

There are alternatives. Many, many alternatives. There are alternatives to just about every allopathic (A word used by the founder of Homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann, that means "other than the disease" to illustrate the way doctors used methods having nothing to do with the disharmony produced by disease, taking care of symptoms only, and therefore harmful to the patients) medicine or prescription known to mankind. Alternatives that do not kill. Alternatives that do not create another symptom for which another medicine is needed that creates another symptom for which another medicine is needed, ad infinitum.

I will create a short list in the capsule below. Oh, wait, let me put in the waiver that will keep the FDA from tracking me down and finding something to have me arrested for...

Umm, I am not a medical doctor and do not profess that any of the below will cure anything. Umm, this hub is for entertainment value only and does not mean a thing otherwise.

I think that covers it. I hope. You would not believe all the people who have had their books, writings, cures, etc. wiped off the face of the planet in the name of the almighty dollar.

Short List

This is a list for entertainment value only. Means nothing. (Now I'm just getting plain paranoid.)

Cancer: RESEARCH. MMS (not to be confused with MSM) and Essiac, All live foods, supplements, clean pure water, Colloidal Silver, parasite detox, Montana Yew Tips, Apricot Kernels, Beta Glucans and many, many more herbs and supplements, depending on the kind of cancer and location thereof.

Immune Disorders: RESEARCH. (First, make the doctors give you the inserts before vaccinating your child or pets. Then RESEARCH the hell out of all those big words and decide if you truly want to do that to your loved one.) Beta Glucans, Candida Detox, Colloidal Silver, parasite detox, etc. etc.

Candida: RESEARCH. Mycostat, Probiotics, Colloidal Silver, MSM, Asparagus Extract, Live Foods only, no chemicals, no sugar, Organic Liquid Calcium/Magnesium, and many more.

Hepatitis and Liver Disorders: RESEARCH. Dandelion, Essiac, Milk Thistle, Asparagus Extract, etc. etc.

There are so many diseases out there that can be cured by herbs, supplements and just plain taking care of yourself. TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF. I had to put that in bold caps.

There are all natural cancer cures out there that will not destroy your immune system and your body's ability to fight back. I'm not just talking here. I'm living proof. My cancer is not in "remission" (which is a word that pretty much means we've buried it deeper for a while till it comes back). My cancer is gone. So I do know whereof I speak. No one wants you to know that you can take care of a lot of your health problems without pharmaceutical drugs. That would mean a loss of billions and billions of dollars lining pockets. Can't have that.

That's Not All, But It's All From Me Right Now

The big name of the game here is (in case you haven't caught on) RESEARCH. Don't take my word for it. Don't take the medical community's word for it. Don't take any one's word for it. Look it up. Don't just type in a word and follow the first thing that comes up on the net. That's just like blindly following the allopathic doctors. Go to the library. Talk to Herbalists. Talk to Naturopaths. Read books (I know this is an antiquated notion, but give it a try).

I plan on doing another hub on pet meds, but that is in the future when I have a free moment!

For now.....RESEARCH.

fda

Okay people, I now have a real disclaimer, isn't it pretty? Just because someone is out to get you doesn't mean you're paranoid, right?

The fda has just issued a recall on all MMS products. Again, there are 106,000 deaths each year due to negative effects from fda approved drugs. Google and see how many you find due to MMS, actual, proven deaths. Since the fda doesn't have control over MMS, and MMS is helping people for an incredibly low cost, hence the recall. My point has been made. Pockets are not being lined by MMS cures, so....bye bye MMS.

Check out CODEX. Really read the whole thing. Then be afraid. Be very afraid. (I've always wanted to say that and really mean it!)

Thanks JoyLevine! I am in total agreement. One med causes another problem that another med is piled on top to fix, etc...etc. Most of the time natural remedies do it better. Thanks for stopping by and for your wonderful comment!

Good article. I took care of my mother for 13 years and it seemed like all they did was keep adding more and more meds. Every med that helped one problem, created another. I did much research at the time and implemented natural remedies that worked ten times better than some of the meds and had no side effects. You can't do it for all of them, but it worked for most. Great article!

I think your advice to conduct research into medical conditions and treatments is very sound. I'm voting this up and sharing it. :)

Excellant Hub, I agree on how we need to research anythin we are asked to take daily. I also believe in many of the Herbal medicians out there. My favorite is Gensing Roots. Thanks for sharing your research.
