Many people are trying the low fat and low carbohydrate Dukan Diet. Dr. Pierre Dukan came up with this diet based on his years of medical treatment and experience in France.
His book exploded in sales. There are at least two Facebook pages that delineate participants by where they live. There are many other communities that support each other while they adapt and live the Dukan way.
The recipes below are suitable for Attack Phase or Cruise Phase. If you are on a Protein day, just omit the vegetable salad day and alter the eggs. However, the 'dessert' works for all the time and tastes wonderful!
Do read the book and understand what all is involved in this rather simple but effective food selection 'diet'. It is meant to be a change in lifestyle long-term but it does tout and delivers effective weight loss for hundreds of thousands of people.
The biggest plus is that the elimination of certain foods will help you STOP cravings. Seriously.

This dessert parfait is deceptively simple. It meets the requirement for both protein and vegetable days. It is also a wonderful way to mix in the oat bran.
Mix the oat bran into the plain non-fat yogurt.
This parfait is made from the Jell-o brand sugar free peach gelatin. Although, there are many kinds of fat-free plain Greek style yogurts out there, two brands stand out as being the most creamy and palate pleasing. The Costco Kirkland fat free yogurt and the Trader Joe's Organic fat-free plain yogurt are both extremely tasty.
The pretty parfait glass and the addition of the mint herb make this so special. Everyone needs to feel special when they eat! So treat yourself well!
Here is an oh so simple and easy protein based breakfast that may be cooked for your Vegetable Days. (Read the book to understand vegetable days!)
For protein days, you may use a bit of onions but omit the mushrooms and baby spinach.
one egg with 1/4 C. egg whites
handful of baby spinach
two sliced mushrooms (they were BIG mushrooms, so adjust accordingly)
1 T. chopped onion (not shown)
Saute veg first. Add the eggs and cook and turn the eggs to a medium over egg.
Four grinds of pepper and two SCANT grinds of salt.
Eat up. Protein is so filling if you are doing the Dukan Diet.
Pretty tastes better too!
This is such a pretty way to present a cole slaw type of salad.
The red bell pepper adds so much healthy vitamin C as well as making a beautiful boat to serve the salad in.
1/3 knife shredded large Napa cabbage
3 T. chopped onions (more if the onions are mild)
2 stalks chopped celery
2 sliced radishes
