Encouragement a medicine for stress
Encouragement a medicine for Stress
Encouragement can go a long way to helping someone who is going through stress. At some point in our lives, we are faced with some stressful situations but with little encouragement from others we can be assured that we can make it despite the many challenges we faced within our lives. Encouraging someone who is on the verge of giving up on life can help that person to overcome that negative thinking that a stressful situation has imposed on them.
Encouragement is like medicine, it can revitalize us and help us to have confident that the stressful situation we are facing won’t last forever. In Psalms 30: 5 it’s says "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." As you can see, the bible assures us too that the problem we are facing won’t last forever. I remember times in my life when I was really discouraged and didn’t know what to do and my family and friends would encourage me to keep trying and don’t give up; they give me the inspiration to have faith and be confident and that has really helped me to become more confident and optimistic that I can overcome any obstacles I am faced with in life. I believe we should all try to find at least one person to encourage on a daily basis. Encourage others by giving them inspirational words that will help them to heal and recover from the stress they feel on the inside. When encouraging someone always try to reflect on a time in your life when you were face with a stressful situation and let them know how you cope with the situation and also how you come to overcome the situation. I believe that by letting them know that you were once in a similar situation could really help to give them hope that if you can pull through the problematic situation they can surely pull through it as well.
It’s my belief that people who are going through a stressful situation should be given a lot of encouragement along the way, because if they are not given the right amount of encouragement then things could really start to take an ugly turn and they could end up letting the stress control them rather than controlling the stress. It’s never good to let stress get the best of you because it could really have a detrimental impact on your life. In addition, when encouraging someone advise them to think beyond the stress by giving them helpful tips they could use such as joining a social community group and also advise them to seek further assistants if they find that their stress level is starting to increase. Advise them of some of the stress coping mechanism you use when you are going through stress such as exercise, yoga, listening to inspiring music or other stress coping technique that can help to alleviate the stress. Also assure them that they are not alone in this situation because sometimes when an individual is going through a rough time they tend to feel alone in the situation like nobody cares and that they are in this stressful situation by themselves with no one to help. By building a connection between you and the individual that is facing the stress you have helped to create a helpline where the person can come to for advice. Finally, I believe on life journey we are all faced with stress in some point in our lives that’s why we need encouragement and support to help us to pull through. I believe we should all encourage others who are facing a rough time in their lives to hold on that change is going to come and that everything is going to be alright.
