How Can You Detox your Life from the Ordinary?
An usual morning wake up is the sound, unbearable sound of the alarm clock, then mourning and maybe any cursing. Then, while still asleep, checking your phone, calendar, the list of to-do daily things, and social media like facebook, twitter, instagram. You are stuck in this morning routine, and then you wonder why your life is not any better? Why can't you just wake up like in those movies and do productive things, rather than staring at another instagram photo.
You know it is time to 'detox' not only your liver, but also your life, when it comes to the point where you feel tired doing every single thing, like getting out of bed and starting the day. A life detox may mean a digital detoxing, taking a break from social media by closing all your accounts, as well as starting a new working out routine, maybe incorporating a 5-10 minute meditation, or starting that mindfulness journey, etc. Whatever it is that you want to do, have a look at some ideas on how you can start detoxing your life from the ordinary things which are eating up your soul, so you can be a happier person and have more energy and good will to work on bettering your life.
Wake up Early!
Your timer might tick at 6:30 on days when you have to be compelled to head to work, but on weekends you simply need to get the maximum amount sleep as possible, because you have been operating all week and it is your legitimate right to sleep till lunch period. Right? Wrong! You must rise early each single day. It's one thing thriving individuals do. you have got all the day to finish your tasks, and be productive. If you would like to sleep more, you must go earlier to bed, and obtain the complete 8-hour sleep, instead of sleeping late, and waking up late, even with ten or more hours of sleep. That solely may cause additional fatigue, and dullness. And do you know what they say? One key to success is having lunch at that point of the day when people are having their breakfast.
I know, everybody says Smile. Smile even when everything goes wrong, and everything seems to crumble. and that "everyone" could not be more right. You have got to smile, you need to smile, for yourself. If you frown and get angry at things, and stay unhappy, you will not improve things, you may not solve any problem. Not that the matter will be as if by magic solved once you are smiling. However the very fact is, you'll be a lot more optimistic and you'll approach the matter in an exceedingly better manner. If you are tired, bored, sad, or not feeling at your best, attempt to curve your lips as if you are smiling. Fake it until you make it! After you pretend a smile, in an exceedingly number of seconds, it turns into a true smile, and brightens up the day.
Drink water and green tea! A lot!
Water has been referred to as the elixir of life. once combined with tea leaf, it's the most effective selection. Each of them can keep you hydrous, at your best. Your skin can glow, skin disorder won't be a drag. They'll keep you detoxified and not tired the least bit. Green tea will boost your metabolism and facilitate with weight management, and higher digestion. It lowers cholesterol and pressure level. The tea leaf has antioxidants, it'll keep your breath fresh, and help you with healthy skin [preventing skin cancer], healthy hair, and fight some seasonal allergies. What is there to not love concerning that?
Have a cup of coffee!
(or a dozen in my case). Coffee is the secret weapon behind creation, imagination, ideas. Coffee also helps to wake up, and not feel so puffy, as your morning eyes. But, do not drink coffee before bed, as it might leave you sleepless [even though, I personally, do not have any problem with that. No matter when I will have my last cup of coffee, it does not affect my sleep. So do as it is best for you.] Consuming coffee makes it less likely for you to get diabetes type 1 and 2, as well as dementia, and Parkinson's disease. If you want to be productive, have a cup of coffee.
Dry Brush your skin!
Find some good brushes that will not rip your skin, and find a nice scrub that you are not allergic to. Use them. Every day if you can. Dry brushing your skin, removes the dead cells, bringing glow and shine to the skin. It does look younger after the massage, which you will do with small circles. Do not go too hard, you will leave bruises on your skin, and we do not want that. Dry brushing also helps in blood circulation. And it does help with cellulite, every woman's nightmare.
Cover up on Lotion!
After the dry brushing process, a body lotion is a must. The pores are open, the skin is hot, and it needs lotion to cool down and close the pores. It will also be well absorbed. Wear lotion all over the body. Do not move your hand too fast on the skin. Make it at a slow pace, enjoying your skin, your body curves. Enjoy the fact that the lotion spreads so easy, and makes your skin look heavenly soft and shiny and healthy. The process of covering your body in lotion is also a self-appreciation and self-loving process. You soon will realize you should do it more often, and after a while it will become an everyday routine, one that you will not want to skip.
What is the one thing you always turn to when you need some down time?
Have some Chocolate or Ice Cream.
Chocolate is the most delicious dessert. Happiness hides in chocolate. So have one, do not be afraid of weight gain. In fact, recent studies have shown that chocolate helps in digestion, and weight control, especially if it has 70% or more cacao. But whatever, the same studies have shown other benefits of chocolate like lowering the blood pressure, saving the heart from attacks, etc. Bringing smiles back to someone's face is my favorite. Do not skip a day without tasting a bit of chocolate has been my best advice ever. I do not dare to.
Sit down and Meditate!
Meditation helps you peace out, and concentrate on things that matter. Find time to pet yourself. Find a peaceful place, turn off your phone, or if you must not, then put it on silent, or vibration, or whatever does the trick for you. Then sit down, close your eyes and focus on your breathing. Try not to think, try not to make your mind travel. If you must, keep count of your breaths. Eventually you will lose count and be still. Meditate for an hour every day, or at least 30 minutes. You can put your alarm on to remind you the meditation session at home is over.
People do act weird when they hear of Meditation, because they think that you just have to rest there, with your legs crossed and eyes closed and think of nothing at all for an hour or so. That's where you go wrong. You can meditate with your eyes open! The trick is not to not think at anything at all, but to let your thoughts flow without spending much time or energy on them.
