Finding Happiness in others or in God?

Putting thoughts into words is one of my many talents. And now, you can read my mind.

Jesus makes you happy in reality. The world makes you happy escaping from reality.

“If you hope for happiness in the world, hope for it from God, and not from the world.”

What is true happiness?

True happiness is only found in God.

Happiness is that feeling that comes over you when you know life is good and you can't help but smile. It's the opposite of sadness.

I‘ve been depressed alot of times and many times I sought for happiness in the wrong way and in the wrong places.

There are two ways of finding happiness:

  • The temporary way
  • The right way

Relationships and Money are only complements to true happiness

The Temporary Way

Many people find happiness the temporary way, they seek for it in another person. Relationships are great! Love is amazing!. But relationships and money are only complements to true happiness.

Finding happiness in our significant other is the beautiful, we all deserve to be with people who makes us happy, who makes our day brighter with their smile, who makes our bad days feel a little better. But what happens when that person is no longer there?

When anything in life is an absolute requirement for your happiness and self-worth, it is essentially an 'idol,' something you are actually worshiping.

When our happiness is dependent on another person, it leaves us vulnerable and easily breakable.

The purpose of existence is the pursuit of enjoyment...in God! Our desires, affections, pursuits, all that we say and do, all that we love or hate, are to be measured by this single criterion and subordinated to this one end: happiness in God.

The Right Way

The only permanent way to find happiness is through God. He is the only constant thing in this world.

Imagine having lost your Job, or a loved one but you are comforted that should everything be broken and shattered, you still have God. Imagine the immense happiness knowing that He is there watching over you, protecting you, loving you. With the full knowledge that he will never leave.

The purpose of existence is the pursuit of enjoyment...in God! Our desires, affections, pursuits, all that we say and do, all that we love or hate, are to be measured by this single criterion and subordinated to this one end: happiness in God.

Seeking first the kingdom of God, and everything else will follow, such as the “complements” ; love, money and health!

"When our happiness is dependent on another person, it leaves us vulnerable and easily breakable"

This should be written on the sky for all to see. most of us derive happiness from other people leaving us broken cause "other people" are not perfect, only God is.

      Nice article baby girl
