Living without a purpose

I have met a lot of people in my life. Most of them are troubled souls, scared and full of regret. Others, full of hope, that spend every waking moment inspiring others to better themselves in spite their circumstances. In between, there are those of us that are only motivated by temporary and seamless pursues of gratification. Money, power, titles, sex; the list goes on and on. There is only one common denominator to all of us, change.

We all have jumped from one group to the other. Sometimes we find comfort in one and don't get to the next level until something happens that is completely out of our control.

Are you truly happy with life in general?

The Pursue of Happiness

It is our right and our ultimate goal, happiness. It seems so elusive and yet so attainable, happiness. Is defined as the intent and direction to be in the state of bliss and joy. To do what ever it takes to be happy. For those that have the blessing of a long life and a collection of experiences, good and bad can truly differentiate between a moment of happiness and what it means to be happy with life.

If we ask a nine year old what it means to be happy, and a forty something person, the answer might surprise you. Is not until you can fully understand pain that happiness becomes a treasured moment in time.

The Inner Struggle

Every body has struggled with what I call, inner demons. Those pesky black thoughts of defeat at some point or another. Imaginary or not, rooted in truth or insecurity, are sure there to cast a shadow in your head. That happens to everyone.

We all have experienced this, some of us visit the dark room of depression too often against our will. Life is an intricate web of situations and responsibilities that can be challenging. Adding to that, illness, relationships, work or lack there off. No one knows how you truly feel, right? You may cry or get angry at times, but who can truly understand what other is going through? As a matter of fact many will invest a good amount of energy just pretending to be ok, so that their inner struggle will go unnoticed.

The Bigger Picture

Life will always have challenges. Needless to say, life is no picnic but in all honesty is not all bad either. Even if we don't realize, we have our moments of joy, connection and achievement. Is fair to see the bigger picture. We always have something to be grateful for. Always.

Take this into consideration the next time you feel down in the dump. Is so easy to fall in the trap of desperation when all seems dark and gloomie. Sure, you might going through a tough trial, a debilitating illness, problems with family or friends ,even broker than a third world country but still there is always something about your life that deserves to be remembered as a blessing.

Get happy in five minutes!

Buffet of Motivation or Inspired Living

Is not like you live isolated from everything and everyone! If you are reading this, in a computer, tablet whatever, you have the ability and the tools to reach out and search for information. Find things that speak to you on a personal level. People that have your same struggles and have accomplished great things in spite of their circumstances. Reach out! Connect. Inspire and be inspired. Transform and be transformed into the being that you know you can be.

The Secret to Fulfillment ...

Decide to become your own hero.

You are the architect of your life. Choose to be happy and strive to be the best version of you. And spread your light to others.

ananceleste; Voted up, useful and interesting. Happiness is a subject with so many avenues. I have written about it in the past. You appear to have a genuine understanding of how others feel, and thank you for the happy video. I have found that action absorbs anxiety. Being busy, and making the move to contact people, get together with a person one on so much better than sitting around and brooding. Being alone with negative thoughts is a huge downer. I am the happiest when I am not thinking about myself. I find if I give each second of my day to God the minute I awake, things seem to go smoothly. God bless and thank you for this positive hub that iws so needed. Sparklea :)

A good message here. There is always someone worse off than we are. Smiling and laughing helps us feel better, in fact it makes us healthier. It's also infectious - smile as you go down the street, you'll be amazed how many people smile back; it's the butterfly effect!

Great subject with lots of ideas.
