So...I have yet to win a Fitbit challenge.
There are four basic challenges: Goal Day, Weekend Warrior, Daily Showdown, and Workweek Hustle. All challenges have the same basic concept...who can walk the most amount of steps during a given period of time.
Onto the challenges that I've been involved in. I find myself running in place trying to catch up to the other challengers. Apparently, I don't walk enough during the day. There was a split second that I was in first place on this one particular challenge...it was nice...and then moments later...SMASH...knocked down.
Another thing about these challenges...why on Earth would I want to cheer someone on that I'm competing against? I know we're all in this for the same reason...to take steps, but you are my enemy for the day. I want to beat you. I'm not cheering for you.
These challenges are pretty motivating for what they are, but why only four challenges? I feel it would be easy to bring more variety of challenges to the app. How about...who can burn the most amount of calories?...or Who can climb the most flights of stairs? How about the ability to team up with other challengers to take on another group of challengers? I'm no tech expert, but these seem like easy additions to the challenge option.
So, Fitbit, if you're listening...and I'm sure you're not...please bring some variety to your challenges.
What do you think?
