Five EASY Ways to be More Healthy

Updated on February 1, 2016

With our 90 Days to a Better YOU, we want to help you be better all around. Feel better, look better, have more confidence, and ultimately, change your life!

In 2016, more and more research is showing, that the key to lifelong, good health is what experts call “lifestyle medicine.” Lifestyle medicine includes making simple changes in diet, exercise and stress management. It is simply breaking bad habits and introducing a new way to live every day life.

To help you turn that idea into results, we’ve put together this list of five, easy, health & wellness action steps. You can do this.

1. Think positive and focus on gratitude

This is something my husband and I strive to do daily and we always like to teach. Not only does research show that a healthy positive attitude helps build a healthier immune system and boosts overall health, but it also is just a morally happy way to love the life you live.

The mind and body are more closely intertwined, than you would ever believe! Your body believes what you think, so focus on the positive.

2. Get the proper nutrition

If we are being honest, eating your fruits & vegetables, and getting the proper nutrition, is something we all want to do, but it just doesn't always seem realistic..... Though I know that a diet high in fruits and vegetables is associated with a reduced risk of developing cancers of the lung, colon, breast, cervix, esophagus, stomach, bladder, pancreas and ovary; eating five servings of vegetables a day is hard to do.

However, being healthy and getting the right nutrition shouldn't be difficult. You shouldn't feel forced to eat salad and brocoli all day long. What I personally do to get my daily nutritional vitamins, minerals, fruits, vegetables, and other super foods, into my daily diet, involves ONE drink a day.

Get the proper nutrition

I found that the Zeal Wellness drink gives my body the proper nutrition to sincerely run right. There are hundreds of scientific reasons why the ingredients in it work the best, but honestly, I just feel better when I drink it. When I give my body the vitamins and minerals it craves, I have more energy, focus and drive all day, every day.

It is amazing what your body can do, when it just has the right nutrition!

3. Set a “5-meal ideal”

We have talked about this in the past, but eating 5 meals, instead of 3 a day, helps extremely with your body's overall weight management.

What, when, and how much you eat can keep both your metabolism and your energy levels steadily elevated, so you’ll have more all-day energy.

A "5 meal ideal" will help you keep your cool, manage your weight, maintain your focus, and avoid cravings.

One of the easiest ways to do this is to replace one - two tiny meals a day, with the Zeal Protein drinks. They only have 150 calories, and include more than just protein to give you a balanced, healthy meal or snack each day.

For more information about the "5 Meal Ideal," read the article on our Website called: "How to Increase Your Daily Energy, so You WANT to Workout."

5. Get at good night's sleep

And last, but not least, get a good night's sleep.

If you have trouble sleeping, try a few of these relaxation techniques:

  • Meditation, ASMR, and Yoga.

  • Surprisingly, you can even eat a small bedtime snack! There are some foods shown to help shift the body and mind into sleep mode: whole grain cereal with milk, oatmeal, cherries or chamomile tea.

  • Darken your room more and turn your clock away from you.

  • Write down worries or stressful thoughts to get them out of your head and onto the page. This will help you put them into perspective so you can quit worrying about them. You may also come up with some great ideas!

Implementing these 5 techniques will help you live a healthier, happier life.

Being healthy shouldn't be hard or miserable. It should be fun and easy and help you feel more refreshed and happy!

We want YOU to live the HAPPY, HEALTHY life you deserve to live.

Please don't hesitate to message me with any questions or concerns. As a health and wellness mentor, my goal is to take care of you! I want you to know that YOU matter, and you really do deserve to live the life you have been craving!
