Five EASY Ways to be More Healthy

In 2016, more and more research is showing, that the key to lifelong, good health is what experts call “lifestyle medicine.” Lifestyle medicine includes making simple changes in diet, exercise and stress management. It is simply breaking bad habits and introducing a new way to live every day life.

To help you turn that idea into results, we’ve put together this list of five, easy, health & wellness action steps. You can do this.


1. Think positive and focus on gratitude

This is something my husband and I strive to do daily and we always like to teach. Not only does research show that a healthy positive attitude helps build a healthier immune system and boosts overall health, but it also is just a morally happy way to love the life you live.

The mind and body are more closely intertwined, than you would ever believe! Your body believes what you think, so focus on the positive.

2. Get the proper nutrition

If we are being honest, eating your fruits & vegetables, and getting the proper nutrition, is something we all want to do, but it just doesn't always seem realistic..... Though I know that a diet high in fruits and vegetables is associated with a reduced risk of developing cancers of the lung, colon, breast, cervix, esophagus, stomach, bladder, pancreas and ovary; eating five servings of vegetables a day is hard to do.

However, being healthy and getting the right nutrition shouldn't be difficult. You shouldn't feel forced to eat salad and brocoli all day long. What I personally do to get my daily nutritional vitamins, minerals, fruits, vegetables, and other super foods, into my daily diet, involves ONE drink a day.

Get the proper nutrition

4. Exercise daily

All you have to do to accomplish this, is make it a habit! And as you know, with our 90 day challenge, this is crucial to your success!

Did you know that daily exercise can improve your eyesight, improve bone density, normalize blood pressure, lower cholesterol, improve lean muscle, improve bone density, and even help with anti-aging!

If you want to live well & live longer, you must exercise!

Studies show that even 10 minutes of exercise makes a difference —

So just get up and do something!


5. Get at good night's sleep

And last, but not least, get a good night's sleep.

If you have trouble sleeping, try a few of these relaxation techniques:

  • Meditation, ASMR, and Yoga.

  • Surprisingly, you can even eat a small bedtime snack! There are some foods shown to help shift the body and mind into sleep mode: whole grain cereal with milk, oatmeal, cherries or chamomile tea.

  • Darken your room more and turn your clock away from you.

  • Write down worries or stressful thoughts to get them out of your head and onto the page. This will help you put them into perspective so you can quit worrying about them. You may also come up with some great ideas!

Implementing these 5 techniques will help you live a healthier, happier life.

Being healthy shouldn't be hard or miserable. It should be fun and easy and help you feel more refreshed and happy!
