You're in luck! I've got some of them here for you. Plus, you'll find other ways to care for the skin to keep it firm and tight.

Why do our skins sag?

At some point in our lives, our skin will lose its firm hold. It's normal; and there are many reasons for this.

There’s the natural aging process; the inevitable pull of gravity; the avoidable effects of sun rays; and the cause of a speedy weight loss.

For those whose skin is loose due to aging; we can't turn back time. There are many ways however, to further delay its effect and even correct those wrinkles and loose skin.

And for one whose loose skin is caused by weight loss, the same tips should apply to get you all toned up.

How to tighten skin?

There are many ways to tighten the skin, especially the loose parts in our thighs, arms and belly. Our arms and legs may go wobbly and shake like jelly because of the fats stored in our body. That's why personally, I believe that the first line of defense (and remedy) against saggy or lose skin is exercise. Among many of its health benefits, regular exercise builds up muscles and burns away fats.

More so, when we abruptly lose weight, our stretched skin will not immediately go back to how they used to be.

To prevent all of these from happening, exercise is the simple key.

Exercise and proper diet goes hand in hand in tightening our skin. At the least, we can slow down the effects of aging by eating the right foods.

Foods that help our skin firm and tight include those that support our connective tissues.

Collagen and elastin for instance, are proteins that support our skins health and growth. Eating foods with these nutrients help our skins staying tight, soft and aglow.

  • Soy products like tofu, soy milk and nuts provide genistein which helps increase the production of collagen in the body. Dark, green leafy vegetables, on the other hand, like spinach; kale and broccoli can help us increase elastin.
  • Vitamin A also helps us with the production of collagen. Eating carrots and tomatoes daily will not only give you sharp eye sights but tighter skin, as well.

Foods rich in Vitamin C can also help tighten our skin. They keep our tissues and tendons strong and healthy too. Vitamin C is a form of antioxidant which battles away contaminants that may hasten the effects of aging. Vitamin C-enriched foods include citrus fruits, red bell pepper and collard greens.

Other ways to tighten skin is with skin care products like VitaSkin of Eminence. There are moisturizers and lotions that supplements collagen, Vitamin A, B and C that our body needs.

Finally, the last option to tighten skin is surgery. If you have the money to spend, go for it. Of course, you would still need to take care of your newly-shaped bud after having an operation of this sort. And for this, we go back to the simpler, cheaper options - exercise, nutrition and skin care.
