Create A Fitness Goal To Lose Weight Or Build Muscle

It can sometimes be difficult to be motivated about going to the gym and working out, especially when you are trying to get back in shape and you haven't worked out in a long time. But don't worry, this article will provide you with everything you need to get started.

Step 1 - Set Fitness Goals For Yourself

Whether your trying to lose weight and burn fat, burn muscle or trim fat around your stomach - you can do it.       I've always been motivated to work out. I think it's because I'm an exercise addict. No really it's because it makes me feel so much better after I exercise. I feel awful when I can't exercise so I know it's great for my health. Voted up. Take care, Kelley

      I absolutely love this hub. I am an avid goal and goal deadline setter, so this hub really resonates with me. I jog with my cousin and best friend, so we keep each other motivated.

      I also do not know whether or not to want to look like the guy or marry him, waking up to that every morning? Yes, please. Voted Up!

      I am definately big on goals... and even more so, about setting deadlines for your goals. I dont' remember where I saw this, but it stated that a goal without a deadline is nothing more than a dream. Good words of wisdom. As humans we have a tendency to put off things until the last minute so we need those deadlines otherwise it will never happen.

      Another good thing is to have a support system. They are invaluable, whether they are online or family and friends. They will help you stick to it.

      And following a program is definately a plus to so you actually get some results. I know because of my very own personal experience.

      Great information and great hub. I loved your tips and I am a sucker for the workout and get healthy hubs.

      As a side note, I noticed Damiendarby commented on the picture - when I first got here, I thought the picture was odd because that guy is so motivating he shouldn't be depressed. And it is obvious he hasn't been away from working out... I mean - look at that body! ;) But I just want to say, your hub and you need to choose pictures that you see fit. But thought I would add my two cents! The picture doesn't give me the wrong impression at all!

      It could be motivating yes, but that spray painted photo shopped guy leads people, in my humble opinion, to believe that fitness and health have to do with body fat percentage. As a physical trainer myself, this common theme in modern fitness bothers me. :)Cheers brother, keep up the good work nonetheless.

      Great hub and information, you obviously know your stuff, but I think the use of that picture is uncalled for. It doesn't fit. Pictures like those only perpetuate a facade.
