GodMade Technology

In 2007, Greg's 23 month old Grandson was killed. At that point, he found a need to write about his family, crime, and local issues.

Yesterday, God reminded me of His Power and Might. He showed me once again that He is in control of every situation in our lives.

Many of you know I have been seeking employment and the going has been tough. I had applied and applied to so many places. My stress level was quite high yesterday; you see, my wife Jonda had been hospitalized on Saturday. Her diabetes was whacked out and they were checking her heart.

We live just 1/4 mile from the hospital, so I slept in our bed. I was getting ready to go be at her side when the phone rang. It was one of the jobs I had applied to. The man asked if I could come later to interview. I jumped for joy and gave thanks to God. It sounded promising.

I then was shaving when the phone rang again; another job interview. This one is for tomorrow and I laughed with excitement at how my Father rains blessings down on me when I seek Him. By no means was the end of it that day and I should have known. You see, I believe my Lord has a sense of humor too, because the blessings didn't stop there.

I called my wife and explained my excitement She was happy too and we agreed that I would come after the interview.

I arrived at the interview and was hired immediately, starting the job today at 3. I strode out of there all proud and into myself until one block down the road, God shook me out of that form of thinking real quick. The phone rang and another job wanted to hire me without even an interview. I explained how I just received a job and I will keep them in mind if anything happens. When I hung up, I gave praises to God because I just knew it was Him and that phone rang again. It was another job wanting to interview me. When the call was complete, I giggled: The Awesomeness of God!

He didn't stop there either. Because I was off to visit my wife and tell her the great news.

My Wife

About 1 year ago my wife, Jonda, had a pacemaker/defibrillator installed to give her heart a shock if it would ever stop for any reason. She has had a triple bypass and is on kidney dialysis. We have been married going on 30 years and I have watched her health get bad and better and bad again.

One thing that we must always remember, yes man made these devices, but God made man and gave him the knowledge and wisdom to develop such technology.

The last miracle of the day---------------Jonda is giggling about my employment as she tells me that the Doctor did a reading on her defibrillator and told her that it paid itself off back in June. If it would have been 15 years earlier, I would have been burying my wife, because her heart had stopped one summer day and that machinery inside her chest shocked her heart back to beating.

I cried with joy as we both wept praises to Our King.

God is all and all, there is no other. I will praise Him night and day. Thank you God!

I've always felt the "man upstairs" had a "great sense of humor". But I also think he is smiling down at you for always keeping the faith and working hard to secure a job. Congratulations on your new job, and the best of luck. I'm sure the good news was great medicine for your wife as well...A little celebration is in order tonight! Thanks for sharing this inspiring Hub.

I must thank you for the timing of this hub. I just 1/2 an hour returned from my own job search, feeling run down and depressed, I grabbed a glass of water and sat down to check my e-mail, "new hubs by your favorite authors", click and here was your hub. It rejuvinated my spirit and put a smile on my face by reminding me to keep my head up and keeping my faith in the ways of God. Thank you!

A definite hub from your heart.

We really are so very lucky for today's technology. I think that we tend to take it for granted and it's only through a shock like the one you and your wife went through that make us stop and think again.

I hope that your wife's health is a little better these days.

Thank you for sharing this lovely hub with us.

Take care and God Bless you and yours.
