Oh, the aroma!

A delightful leafy-rose fragrance is produced by the one of kind Geranium and the aroma adds appeal to the beautiful blossoms. With colors of red, pink, orange, white, lavender and violet, the Rose Geranium is often a favorite in the backyard garden and can be grown in doors in potted plants.The Rose Geranium is resistant to drought like conditions. The stems and leaves are water conserving and the essential oil is obtained through them by steam distillation.

As an essential oil for Aromatherapy, the Rose Geranium is used for emotional balance, stability, mental balance and lifting the mood. It is also widely used in perfumes, soaps and is considered to be excellent for skin care. The Rose Geranium essential oil blends well with other essential oils. Frankincense, Ylang Ylang, Lavender, Rose and Bergamot are frequently paired with the Rose Geranium oil.

As the holidays are fast approaching, you can easily turn Rose Essential oil into a fun and thoughtful gift. If gift making is for you, don't forget to make a little extra for yourself.   1. Mix all ingredients together and pour into spray bottle

  • 10 drops Rose Geranium, essential oil

Quick tricks

Rose essential Oil can be easily incorporated into the morning routine to get a jump on the stress coming with the day. Add a drop to your favorite hair conditioner and let the aroma do it's job as you condition. You can follow up on that trick by adding 2 drops to an aroma free moisturizer and take your moisturizer to the next level.

Is the day already done? Shred the stress with an enjoyable Detox bath. Combine 10 drops each of essential oils; Rose Geranium, Lavender and Cedarwood. Mix that with 2 cups of Epsom Salts and pour under hot running bath water. Sink in, sit back and relax.

      I most definitely have some new treatments to try out.

      Whenever I smell any type of geraniums it takes me back to my childhood. My Grandma Elsie always kept Geraniums in her flower and garden beds. Helping my Grandpa out at the local cemetary with trimming around headstones always had the scent of Geraniums. So many wonderful memories have various scents related to them and Geraniums and rose scent are some of them :)
