Serenity

I always loved the following prayer.

"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference." The Serenity Prayer, Reinhold Niebuhr

You can simply let go of the feelings of wanting to change things you do not like. Letting go makes you feel better. When we dwell on wanting to change something, it makes us think about it even more. It freezes the problem in time. By letting go or releasing to change something, we will not hold it in our mind and we can move forward. If you can't change something, releasing will help by allowing you to just accept it the way it is. You may be trying to hold onto the want of control and being resistant. These techniques should help you feel more calm or lighter about your situation.

Your Body Versus Your Mind

Our bodies are not truly who we are. That which we are is really inside of us. We sometimes feel we are struggling against the world. We sometimes seem to have a constant battle of survival. We believe our beliefs, old habits, negative thoughts are us, but that is really not who we are. Sometimes, we even struggle with the little things like even getting out of bed in the morning. It shouldn't be like that. We shouldn't be struggling so much in our daily lives.

If you do not want to suffer or struggle with daily activities, you can release or let go of your negative thoughts, bad old habits, or negative feelings, which will allow you to enjoy life more to its fullest. We sometimes get stuck in past experiences and think we must keep re-living them or keep repeating the same old bad habits over and over. We need to stay in the now and control our thoughts. We don't need all that background noise of negative energy. Now is all there is right now so that is where we need to be. We should be able to have joy, happiness, peace, and calmness now. You know how sometimes a good belly laugh helps to relieve stress, practicing these techniques helps you in the same way.

Self Healing with Inner Peace

As you can see in the video below by an expert, Lissa Rankin, healing from the inside is the most important part of caring for your body. Yes, we sometimes need medicines and surgery first, but you can help yourself from the inside too. By doing this, perhaps, you can save yourself from further surgeries or having further medical problems. Dr. Rankin expresses how we need to care for our mind, heart, soul, and our inner pilot light. Dr. Rankin states we are born with our inner pilot light and we die with this light. This light is our inner true selves. Sometimes, people don't need the medicines and the surgeries to help with their aches and pains. Also, Dr.Rankin states healing from the inside, being mentally healthy, self-healing from the core, can be better than any medicine or any doctor, wow!

Shocking Truth About Your Health, by expert, Lissa Rankin, MD

Better Health

In an audio I was listening to with Hale Dwoskin, the author of the book, The Sedona Method, he stated people have reported back that using the method for health issues has helped them have better immune systems and circulation.

As stress goes away from our bodies, we get healthier. So when we rid ourselves of strains, tensions, and stress, we are more relaxed, and have more energy and breathe more deeply. I can tell you that by practicing this method now with my two injured ankles, a broken crown on a tooth, and canker sores in my mouth, that this really does work to help relieve pain. Now, don't get me wrong, you still need to use medicines to help with pain and swelling, but I am talking about your emotional self. If you are better emotionally and have a more positive attitude about your conditions, it can definitely help relieve some pain and even stress. I've have experienced that now with my issues. You don't have to believe me. You can just try it for yourself and see. Maybe it won't help everyone, but I know it has helped me and others so why not give it a try if you are struggling with any health issues.

It may work better for me than others because I went through the whole program years ago so things may come easier for me than someone that has never given it a try. It is work, like exercise, to get the full benefits of this program. It does become easier as you practice and less work though over time, as I have stated in another article. If you don't put any work in, it isn't going to work just like exercise for your body.

Happiness

You can be happy now even if you are struggling with your health at this moment or have poor health in general. Here and now, you can have peace, joy and happiness. You don't have to wait for something to happen. It is already inside of you. This method is a tool to tap into that which is already inside of you, and can make you feel better now. We don't need to suffer. For some reason, we always want to re-experience traumas or negative things and we don't need to. They are not important. You can get out of the suffering now. It can be a simple process and we don't need to make things more complicated than they already are.

The Six Steps

These steps were created by Lester Levenson to summarize the process of letting go or releasing.

"1. Allow yourself to want freedom/imperturbability (your goal) more than you want approval, control, security, and separation.

2. Decide that you can release and be free/imperturbable (achieve your goal).

3. Allow yourself to perceive that all your feelings culminate in the four wants: the want of approval, the want to control, the want of security, and the want of separation. Then allow yourself to let go of the wants.

4. Make it constant. Release wanting approval, wanting to control, wanting security, and wanting to be separate all the time, whether you're alone or with people.

5. If you are stuck, let go of wanting to control or change the stuckness.

6. Each time you release, you are lighter, happier, and more effective. If you do this continually, you will continually be lighter, happier, and more effective."

These steps are very helpful in reminding you of the techniques to letting go or releasing throughout the day, They represent everything you should do to get the most benefit from this method. I find it fascinating that all your feelings simply come from the four wants. I think it really helps to release on the "wants" and getting stuck too. It really seems to help if you keep practicing the techniques daily.

Radiant Health

Physical pain can sometimes be released by using this method. You can also release emotional reactions to your pain which will ease your suffering. There are some steps involved that can even help you lose weight. The steps should help you accept yourself as you are.

"1. Be Open to the Possibility of Healing

2. Love Yourself as You Are

3. Going from Why's to Wise

4. Going Beyond the Diagnosis

5. Letting Go of Your Physical Pain and Symptoms"

You don't even have to be open to step 1 for the method to work. If you aren't open to it, you can simply let go of the doubt by figuring out what "want" it comes from: approval, control or safety. Then, just release or let go of that want. Just by accepting this process, you could let go of an issue.

If you can just let go of disapproving of things with yourself, this could help you heal. It is best not to obsess about your condition. This method can even help you by releasing on your fear of medical personnel, appointments, procedures, or diagnosis. There are questions you can ask yourself such as: "Could I let go of disapproving of myself? "Would you rather understand why you feel sick or just feel better?" By releasing on these questions best you can, you will feel better. Things will become easier as you let go.

By focusing on which "want" your physical symptom is causing you, you can release on it and feel better inside. If you can just welcome the sensations associated with your symptoms and not resit them, things should become better. By alternating between fully allowing the sensations to be there and then feeling the emptiness or space around them, your pain and symptoms should dissolve.
