Here I sit...What do I do?

Updated on January 31, 2016

Sometimes we just need a moment to think?

Once a man, gave me some good advice...when you don't know what to do? Do nothing!

I think this is so true, there are many times we rush into things, we should just take a few steps back, and think? Evaluate your situation, and wait...

To our surprise, new opportunities come up. Even at times the situation we are perplexed about, just takes care of itself, if we can just hold on. Stop and wait, no steps forward, just a time to listen to your own heart?

What are your instincts telling you? Write down, what comes to mind. Write down, the pro's and con's of what you are faced with.

These things help me, I hope these few words help you:)

Ordered my breakfast, now gathering my thoughts...

There is so much talking, that the voices all fade together as one continuous sound.

Clashing and clanging, with murmurs of wonder. Bits and pieces the words, make no sense?

I sit in amazement, of so many sounds...that jumble into one unending sentence.

I can hardly hear myself think, as there's such a racket going on.

Monotone in them they make perfect sense! To me, it makes no common sense.

Voices fluxating, my head wants to spin! Sitting here un-noticed, as I try to hear myself think?

Looking for an exit, to find a place of peace? Crowds, are not my thing!

The longer I sit, the more I want to run. It appears life is simpler, with less people in it.

When I get closer to another, my life becomes more complicated! Now, I not only have the challenges of my life, but more from those, who want to be close to me.

The words of hurt seem to surface, the closer we become? Like flaming darts, piercing my heart.

As if the friendship is now too comfortable, and the choice of words, are not fitly spoken.

How do I backstep this relationship? I want things to be the way they used to be?

I can't, so here I sit:(

Yes, Betty, I have to say, I wasn't sure I was going to post this. Pondered it, and thought it might be good to show my true feelings at that time. Just the process I was going through.

Oshi, I agree, we need to just step back and not rush into decisions. Stepping back does give us a different perspective:) Thanks for sharing your insight:)

Skye, you are such a sweet Sister in Spirit, I love your caring heart:) Thank you for sharing what you do, when under attack from the enemy. Satan sure want's to steal our joy and make us ineffective! Your words and your writings as well are so encouraging to me. Thanks for taking the time, to read and respond:) May God Bless the socks off U!

heart4theword, Hey sweet one. I relate. Life brings on 'issues' and decisions can be a risk. Stepping out takes faith. Faith comes from hearing the Word. So for me first I know it is not good for me to decide if I am under attack. The enemy wants me to be all muddled. The Lord is clear. So I praise the Lord, I sing worship song, I play worship songs, I repeat a scripture over and over. There are times it is the last thing I want to do but the sooner I do it the quicker the muddled thoughts go. I get peaceful then most times I will hear or know what to do. Christ builds us up when we praise his name. The devil flees at my singing. Hes already defeated. After a storm is always a rainbow. Gods signature that he was and is always with you. He NEVER gives us more then we can handle.

I love you heart. You are a beautiful writer, deep and loving. You are transparent and heartfelt. You share the truth about feelings in your words and that is really a beautiful thing. Many have a difficult time reaching out. Writing is so therapeutic. Beautiful writing. I am signing off and I will say a prayer for you. Know you are loved by many.

God is always with us, if we make a wrong decision he can turn all things for good. He says ALL things. Jesus loves you. I love ya heart.

What do you do when you dont know what to do? Aren't those moments the turning points of our life? Thought-provoking post and thanks for the tips on slowing down for a moment to ponder.

“When one door closes another door opens, but we so often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door, that we do not see the ones which open for us.”

      Thanks for posting.

I agree this was nicely written. It seemed troubling the first time I read it, but kind of peaceful the second time.

Chris, so glad this writing touched your heart:) I had another friend of mine read it too just the other day, and said it fit her just where she was at, at the time too. I love it when we are able to encourage and relate to one another:) It is a God thing!

Thank you C.S.Alexis, I can hear your words of compassion:)

Madison22, I was being real, sharing that full moment in time in this writing. Sometimes, it is hard to be too honest, but felt this was appropriate to share:) So glad you were blessed this day, and that God has given you a new perspective. He is Awesome!

Awesome! I can really identify on so many levels, for there were many times I asked the same question and felt the same way. Today, through prayer, meditation and surrounding myself around positive people and activities I am moving forward and seeing a different light of things. Lovely...thank you!!!

Yes, samiaali...your right about new doors opening before we even know it. Your comment makes me think of how God knows are needs and our prayers, before we even ask. He is already on it, He knows the beginning from the end:)

Thank you James and Nell, you are so gracious:)

Carlotta, and Chin chin, your words of advice and encouragement are much appreciated...many blessings to you both:)

I like the second video. It presents a reality that many teenagers (including me ? years ago) would have to face - choosing between doing what is right and wrong with pressure from your peers. It is really hard...kind of like what Apostle Paul is saying "I do what I do not want to do and don't do what I want to do" (my paraphrase). It takes godly wisdom and good foundation in the word of God to make things right. Good post. Praying the Lord will guide you in every decision you make.

Life is full of thoughts and decisions. Jesus is full of life and Glory! When I am faced with a problem or a decision that may cramp my style, that is sour like lemons, I make lemon aide. Sometimes what I think is a problem in my life, comes out to be a Blessings. GREAT HUB!!! Makes you think! God Bless You!

It's true that doors close ever day in many different ways. But sometimes God opens new ones and we don't even realize it!

I know that this is a very sad and lonely time in one's life.I myself have been in this position. You can talk to a friend but unless they too have had this experience all they can do is listen. Many will offer you advice but at the end of the day there is only you and God.

No one else can make your decision for you, but while alone try talking to your heavenly Father. Then sit quietly and listen to His still small voice.

      Many blessings.

Video was a little blurry, I could understand the man though. Like what he had to say, about decision making:) I know what you mean, about getting close to others, hang in there, you were meant to communicate with other! God will see you through:)

One step at a time, God sometimes closes doors only to open others. I have found His wisdom exceeds my own and never doubt he will always do for me what is best.

It is very hard to see it through because when you need sombody's help there is nothing anyone can do but you. Some people's heart goes out to you and that helps but they can't solve the problems but you. So take a step at the time and you will get through.
