Simple Home Remedies for Clearing Stuffed Nose

Stuffed nose is a common occurrence. It may happen due to cough and cold, allergies or even during change of season. In order to clear a stuffy nose, it is not necessary to undergo proper medication, unless it turns serious, which is quite unknown in this case. There are simple home remedies and some over-the-counter medication that can help clearing the nose.

The following section will detail some of the simpler strategies to treat stuffed nose:


Using Net Pots

Net Pots: This is one common way to treat stuffed nose with Ayurvedic treatment. The pot resembles to that of a small kettle. Add saline with lukewarm water in the pot and pour it through one hole of the nose and blow it out.


A Cup of Hot Green Tea

Green Tea: The benefit of green tea is immense. Drinking it regularly helps to strengthen immunity system. This magical tea also helps for those who are suffering from sinus and is quite effective to treat stuffed nose. Green tea contains L-theanine and Vitamin-C, acting as an anti-inflammatory agent.


Using Humidifiers

Humidifying Agent: Stuffy nose can also be treated by increasing the level of humidity at home, by using humidifier or vaporizer. They are easily available in department store. Make sure to turn on the same before getting into bed at night for easy breathing. Alternatively, you can also try spending minimum ten minutes under hot shower or in a sauna. Continue this for at least two to three times a day.
