Honey Is a Superfood

Updated on April 20, 2017

Honey: A Tasty Superfood

Honey, a sweet liquid that has been used by people in many parts of the world over more than 25 centuries, is produced and stored by certain social hymenopteran insects known as bees.

Bees make this sustainable natural food using nectar from flowers. These wonderful insects first convert the nectar into honey by a process of regurgitation and evaporation. Then they store the same as a primary food source in honeycombs inside their beehive. Human beings harvest honey from these hives.

This nutrition-rich tasty superfood is definitely more than just a sweet treat. It is a natural remedy for many diseases.

Honey is really a superfood and healthy, but it has to be raw. Overheated looses it's healing properties. Good for heart, put also a bit of lemon juice in the water, drink before going to sleep. Thank you for the article.
