How I Loss 35lbs in 12 weeks!!!
It wasn’t until 12 weeks ago (January 2015), that I decided to change my eating habits and lifestyle; by simply taking out all meats except fish and chicken (only will eat fish or chicken if I am really craving some meat; being that I did not give up meat overnight).
I also decided to join a gym, making a commitment to myself to remain active. Since joning the gym, I have yet to lift a weight and has only participated in playing basketball. After setting and committing to a short-term goal reduce my weight down to 190lbs prior to lifting weights, I am proud to reveal that as of today (March 31, 2015), I’ve dropped from 227 lbs down to 195.7 lbs, leaving me with only 4.3 lbs away from my target.
Since my first day back in the gym, I have consistently participated in 27+ (free 7-day guest pass not included) gym visits averaging out only 4 gym visits per month.

"Is there a special diet to follow?"
After a few conversations with a few friends of mine and gaining a better understanding that, “WE ARE WHAT WE EAT”, I begin to become inspired by Dr. Sebi (who specializes in an “ALKALINE DIET” and aims towards providing the body with all the different alkalized foods and “FOODS THAT DOES NOT CAUSE MUCUS IN THE BODY”). Coming from a southern background of many cooking styles of cooking, I never thought that I would headed towards the vegan lifestyle.
Since I began this lifestyle journey, I’ve been without my “Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Machine” (CPAP - doctor prescribed) and has noticed a major difference in my energy levels. My meals no longer makes me sleepy and I am able to notice how much lighter (physically) I am now, compared to when I was eating meat.
It is key to consume plenty of water. Also understanding that drinking plenty of water a day is essential to making this alkaline diet work. With water being so essential to the body, water is needed to remove waste from the body, and cushions the joints, while lubricating the organs, and assisting in the absorption of nutrients. The adult body on average is made up of 75% water, which is why “i recommend you drinking a gallon a day (or ¾ a gallon)”.
Dr. Sebi’s approach and knowledge on this alkaline diet stems from understanding the premise “that disease can only exist in an acidic environment.
More of his research reveals that: “Microwaving food is not recommended, because doing so will damage the nutrients in food.”
