Clean 9 Detox and Diet Plan Helped Me Lose 11 Pounds in 7 Days

When I decided I was going to undertake this diet, I had my doubts about my ability to succeed mainly because I was afraid that I would be too hungry and that would cause me to cheat. I am happy to report, that I have not been hungry at all on this diet, and as a matter of fact, I usually can't eat the entire meal of the ones that I am allowed to have on this diet.
How Does the Diet Work?
The Clean 9 Detox and Diet Plan works in two phases. For the first two days, there is no solid food. About 20 minutes before each part of plan, you will take Garcinia Plus which contains a fat blocker which prevents the body from turning carbs into fat, and an appetite surpressant. After 20 minutes, the next step is drinking 4 oz of Aloe Vera Gel with a minimum of oz of water. For snack after the morning regimen two Bee Pollen tablets are taken. 20 minutes of exercise is required in the morning. Walk, run, bike, swim, whatever you can do for at least 20 minutes.
At lunch time for days 1 & 2, again you take 2 Garcinia Plus softgel capsules 20 minutes before the Aloe Vera Gel. Then 4 oz Aloe Vera Gel with a minimum of 8 oz of water. Next you have a Forever Lite Ultra Shake with Aminotein made with10 oz of skim milk and 2 Bee Pollen tablets after that.
At dinner time for days 1 & 2, again you start with 2 Garcinia Plus softgel capsules 20 minutes before drinking your 4 oz of Aloe Vera Gel with a minimum of 8 oz of water. After the Aloe Vera Gel, you can have 2 Bee Pollen tablets. For evening time before bed, again you have 4 oz of Aloe Vera Gel with 8 oz of water. Make sure you drink this long enough before you go to bed that you don't have to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom.
From days 3 though 9, you will repeat this process, but you will have a protein shake for breakfast after your Aloe Vera Gel and at dinner time, you can have a 600 calorie meal. In the evening before bed, you wont' have Aloe Vera Gel anymore, just 8 oz of water.
It may sound difficult, but the protein shakes are very filling (at least they were for me), and two of them each day, provide 100% of the minimum RDA of many essential vitamins and mineral. Plus Aloe Vera Gel contains over 200 nutrients.

I would like to say that I am a skinny 98 lb weakling, but of course, that would not be true. I don't know what my BMI is exactly, but I think it's around 64, or it was on day 1 anyway. Here are my stats:

There are other measurements that you can record in the little booklet that comes with the Clean 9 system, but I really only care about my waist, as there is no fat on my arms or legs, just my gut. During the course of this diet, you will weigh yourself every other day, and record the measurements that are relevant to what you want to achieve. Most ladies probably care about their hips, thighs, chest, and maybe upper arms in addition to the waistline. Guys who are weight lifters may care about their biceps, triceps, and whatever other 'ceps there are. I'm not, so I don't. But there is a nice flexible tape measure included in the box with everything else, so it's easy to record whatever you want and it's inches on one side and centimeters on the other, so it should please the whole world.
I weigh myself each day first thing in the morning before jumping in the shower (well, I don't really jump, but you get the idea.) and after taking care of any necessary bodily functions. I do this at the same time every other day completely devoid of clothing, so I'm weighing only myself not other stuff.

Getting Into the Routine

Getting into the daily ritual of getting some exercise was probably the most difficult thing for me, but I decided I was going to do it and be diligent at it. I've stuck to my guns. First thing in the morning when I got to work on day 1, I took my Garcinia Plus, and then walked for 20 minutes. Now, in Pennsylvania it's been pretty darned cold for awhile, so I've been doing my walking inside. Fortunately, I work in a really large building that kind of has a built in path for people like me who might like to walk. Walking around this path 5 or 6 times gets my 20 minutes in. When I'm done, I just change out of my sneakers into my clunky work shoes, have the rest of my morning requirement and then get to work.
Days 3-9 Progress Report
Weighing In on Day 3
I was very pleased, actually surprised, when I weighed myself on the morning of day 3. I was down to 216 pounds, for a total loss of 8 lbs and 1 1/2" off my waist. I had to take my belt in one whole notch already. I was excited, because I realized that I was making progress, but I also realized that probably my weight loss would slow down a little bit, since day 3 starts eating solid food for dinner. Even though it's a low calorie meal, I thought I might devour it and still be hungry. When I sat down to eat, I had broccoli, carrots, and rutabega, but as it turned out, I could only eat half of what was on my plate (and it wasn't that much, really!!!)
Weighing In on Day 5
By day 5 I was down to 214 pounds, for a total loss of 10 lbs. My waist is till hanging in at 46", but that's OK, because I know I'm still making progress. (Actually, the plan recommends weighing in on Day 1, 3, 6, & 9, but I decided to weigh in every other day)
Weighing In on Day 7
Day 7 was actually yesterday, and I weighed in at 213 pounds for a total loss of 11 lbs. We were away all day, so instead of walking at work, I actually walked around the perimeter of a local mall. It was pretty warm yesterday, so I walked outside. I thought it might be a difficult day, because I had to hang-out in a different town while my wife was working, and too far away to drive back home again (my wife doesn't drive). But, the people in Burger King were understanding and didn't mind that all I had was water to take my Garcinia Plus, and skim milk for my Protein shake.
Today is Day 8, Not Done Yet
Today is Day 8 of my 9 day diet, but it is snowing very hard and my work is closed, so not really conducive for going walking anywhere. Instead, I got my exercise by shoveling snow today (TWICE!!!), and I don't think I'm done yet. Tomorrow is the last day of my diet, and I'm a little bit worried about being able to maintain a balance of low calorie foods, so I've made up my mind that I'm going to continue having my protein shakes in place of lunch every day, and try to balance out breakfast and lunch with healthy choices. I think I'm going to do that for 2 weeks, then go back and do the Clean 9 again for another 9 day stint.

February 4th was the last day of my 9 days, and I am down to 212 lbs for a total loss of 12 lbs in my 9 days. Today's exercise, was again shoveling snow (I'm going to eat that darn groundhog the next time he pops his head out of his hole). I'm getting my Punxatwany muzzle loader ready as I write this article.
Summary-The Clean 9 Plan Works, IF You Work the Plan
Diets are difficult. We get into a certain routine and then it's hard to change our habits. So, I must tell you to be successful with this diet, you MUST be dedicated to faithfully follow it to the letter and you MUST be faithfully dedicated to get in at least 20 minutes of exercise every day. I chose this diet, because it provides 100% of the minimum RDA of nearly all essential nutrients that the average human being needs. The benefit of the Aloe Vera Gel before every meal, is to clean the digestive tract and restore the proper balance of bacteria in the digestive tract. It has been reported that the average American is walking around with between 5 and 25 lbs of undigested food impacted along their intestinal walls, which in itself is unhealthy. Additionally, this impacted food is preventing our digestive tracts from effectively using the nutrition that we are taking into our bodies. It has now been a few months since I started my journey to lose weight, and some inches off of my waist. At this point, I have now lost 33 pounds and 2 1/2" from my waist. I've stuck to a very strict regimen of what I put into my body on a daily basis, which starts out every day with 3 oz of Forever Living Aloe Vera Gel, mixed with 8 Oz of water and a Forever Fiber Stickpack. For lunch, I have 1 scoop of Forever Lite Ultra Protein with Aminotein mixed into 10 oz of unsweetened, vanilla flavored almond milk. For dinner, I have a high fiber, mostly vegetarian meal of about 600 to 800 calories, and if I want a snack later on, I have some unsweetened shreded wheat.

Of course, in addition to my diet, I either walk, bike ride, or do some other form of exercise on a daily basis for a minimum of 20 minutes, but usually more like an hour and a half to two hours.
Update Number Two-Continued and Sustained Weight Loss
It's been a little while since I updated this the last time, so here's the latest update. I have now lost a total of 44 pounds. I've changed a few things so my diet is a little less restrictive than it was in the beginning, so here's how my diet goes now.
- Breakfast-4 oz of Forever Aloe Vera Gel with 5 grams of Forever Fiber added mixed with 8 oz of NON-Fluoridated water.
- Lunch-1 scoop of Forever Lite Ultra with Aminotein protein (comes in chocolate and vanilla), mixed with 10 oz of unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk.
- Supper-High Fiber mix of low calorie, low sugar fruits and vegetables, with 6 oz of fish or chicken and 3 to 6 slices of fat-free turkey bologna.
- Bedtime snack-Raisin Bran or Bran Flakes (unsweetened) in Unsweetened Almond Milk. Artctic Sea Omega 3 supplement taken with 10 oz of Sustain Sport mixed with 5 grams of Forever Fiber.
Not only has my diet helped me lost a signficant amount of weight, I have also substantially reduced my LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) and reduced my blood pressure into the 125 over 75 range. As with any diet plan that is going to be successful, there must be some exercise included, and in my case that is either walking for about an hour and a half or bike riding around 11 miles. I have not yet tackled any huge hills while bike riding, but hopefully by next summer, I'll be ready to push myself a little bit harder.
Since wintertime in Pennsylvania is not conducive to always being able to walk or bike ride, I'm looking into gyms that have swimming pools, as my plan is to substitute swimming for walking and bike riding when the weather is not fit to do either.
Here are some important tips for you to start getting yourself on the right track to be successful at losing weight:
- Cut out ALL soda
- Cut out ALL caffeine containing tea or coffee (drink Aloe Blossom Herbal Tea instead)
- Read nutrtion labels. Just because something says that it's "Fat-Free" doesn't mean it's sugar-free or starch-free. Your body will convert sugars and starches to fat.
- Do not buy or use any products that contain high-fructose corn syrup.
- Do not eat foods that are made with processed white fluor.
- Eliminate starchy foods such as white potatoes, macaroni, lima beans etc from your diet. Do some research and find better alternatives. Yams are a good substitute for white potatoes (and they taste better too). Instead of lima beans, eat sodium-free black beans (which are also high in protein), and instead of macaroni try a limited amount of brown rice.
