How I Lost 2,357 Pounds!
I am 61 years old. Since I was a young teenager I have battled my weight. I gained weight, I lost weight; gain, loss; gain, loss. By the time I was 20 years old I had "lost" about 100 pounds. Yep. 100 pounds. Okay, so I FIRST had to GAIN 100 pounds too many! That's the story of my life. My life changed for the better when a good friend of mine, who was also overweight, decided that he, too, had to make some changes. Together we joined Weight Watchers (tm). Over the next year or so we lost a collective 135 pounds. We were the "Biggest Losers" of the 1970's. (No, we didn't win $250,000, however.) Man, did I look good!
As the years past by I got married, my wife and I had 2 beautiful children, I held down 2 jobs and.....I ate. All of the weight I lost came back due to my poor choices. Finally, I decided it was time again to get my weight under control. HOWEVER, this time I thought I could do it myself. I also tried several other weight loss programs...without success. Okay....I KNOW what I need to do....Back to Weight Watchers.
To make a long (40+ year) story short: Over the years I have learned that FOR ME, the only sure way to loose weight AND keep it off, is WEIGHT WATCHERS (tm). Currently I'm not attending Weight Watchers BUT I continue to apply the principles I learned at Weight Watchers. It's been a life-changing experience and is very likely one reason this overweight boy has reached 61 years of age!
Oh, and, by the way, no I probably haven't really lost 2,357 pounds. Probably, it's more like 200 or so pounds during my lifetime. But it FEELS like 2,357!
