How I Got Cured Of Gastric Ulcer

Updated on April 27, 2016
The look of a gastric ulcer
The look of a gastric ulcer

How it all began

I hate to remember the ordeal, but I can’t stop remembering my ordeal of being a Gastric Ulcer patient. If you have never been a victim of one health complication or the other, believe me you are blessed, though all of us are blessed anyway. I am pretty sure you don’t ever want to experience any of those; ulcer, migraine, leukemia, cancer, arthritis, toothache, just to name but a few.

It all began in late 2003 If not early 2004, after I gained admission into the higher institution to study mechanical engineering. Obviously, every sickness or disease in life is triggered by a certain condition or factor, mine was triggered by hunger resulting from starving to read- don’t ever make this mistake, and if you are a parent, warn your children not to starve for any reason; be it in the name of crazy desire to shed weight or something else, advise them to eat always, but not to overfeed.

Note: hunger or starving is not actually the major cause of gastric ulcer, but it is one of the trigger factors, avoid it.

Before I gained admission, I was already preparing to graduate with the best result, I cultivated this definite desire for greatness right from the high school, and I succeeded but failed health-wise. I was so eager to make it as the best student, eager not to fail, eager not to lose my wisdom, so I ended up reading all day and night and most times forgot to eat something, and if I did remembered, I had rush to a soft drink joint and get a bottle of Fanta and a snack, off I go again. This continued until my whole system was down and crying, but I ignored it since I was still able to walk and read; never ignore your body’s red light signs.

Developing Gastric Ulcer
Developing Gastric Ulcer

What actually causes gastric ulcer?

I am going to be a bit more medical and scientific in this regard, but everything you are about to read here, are well researched and are also proved, I am sure they will guide you, so feel free to read without doubts or unbelief. Generally, gastric ulcer results from the imbalanced secretion of stomach enzymes and acids as well as the components released in the mucosal lining of the stomach.

Gastric Ulcers results when there is an imbalance between the quantity of stomach acid the body is secreting and an enzyme called Pepsin and the natural defenses of the stomach lining (called mucosal). Deep down the gastric system, there is a spiral shaped bacteria living in the acid environment of the stomach (Heliobacter Pylori Bacterium) which can also cause gastric ulcers. We cannot also divorce physical stress, starvation and insufficiencies as factors that can lead to the development of gastric ulcer in a person.

It is noteworthy to know that gastric ulcer is not caused by consuming spicy food, stress, or alcohol, it is caused by a bacterium called Helobacter pylori, but over a billion number of people globally are carrying this bacteria in their body system, because it is transmitted through food, drink, or contact with someone infected. So, many of us have these bacteria, and if you combine it with spicy food and stress you have gastric ulcer! Recent studies have also shown that anti-inflammatory medication (ibuprofen and aspirin) seriously contribute to the gastric ulcer's evolution.

The Outcome of my Food Starvation

I didn’t know that my continuous food starvation and inconsistent eating has caused a great damage to my inner body, right in the gastric system. According to the medical description, my intestine system was finding it difficult to get something to crush or digest, so it went ahead crushing itself: the fats, the flesh, etc. the final outcome was a severe wound in my gastric system, which can be medically termed, gastric ulcer.

Where the journey began

It all started at the school library where I went to carry out some research on a term paper; it first started with a kink, then stomach uproar, gradually into pinching pain, in less than five minutes, I was already bending over, with my hands on my belly, so I managed to push myself to the hostel. Before I knew myself, I was already purging and vomiting at the same time. It looked so complicated i confused it with diarrhea until I was rushed to the emergency room of the school hospital, and the doctor prescribed some drugs which seemed to calm the situation down a bit: mixed mag (I guess a magnesium or so liquid drug)  and liquid milk, so I asked the nurse why all these, she then told me that I should pray this shouldn’t be ulcer, my heart skipped.

What are the symptoms of a gastric ulcer?

There is a big difference between a gastric ulcer symptoms and that of a duodenal ulcer, they seem to be running in an opposite direction, so don’t miss-interpret them. Below are some of the signs you would experience if suffering from a gastric ulcer, seek for immediate remedy before it gets severe and more difficult to treat or cure (not really through conventional modern medicine).

-          Abdominal pain is usually the most common symptom that an ulcer may be present

-          Indigestion and heartburn, or acid reflux

-          Gastric ulcers generally cause a dull aching pain, often right after eating.

-          Making a meal can often cause an increase in pain

-          Eating will not relieve pain as is the case with other types of ulcers

-          Nagging pain in the upper abdomen area below your breastbone

-          Experiences of nausea

-          A noticeable loss of appetite

-          Unplanned weight loss

-          Another less common symptom of a gastric ulcer is that about 3 in every 10 people are woken up at night by dull ulcer pains – this usually happens 3- 4 hours after eating.

What doctors will never tell an ulcer patient
What doctors will never tell an ulcer patient

What Doctors will Never Tell An Ulcer Patient

1. Medical Doctors simply have no options other than antibiotics:no medical doctor will tell you that he has no lasting solution for your ulcer condition when it comes to prescribing treatments for ulcers caused by H. pylori infections. The prescription will almost always be either a Triple or Quadruple Therapy.

2. H. pylori is becoming increasingly resistant to antibiotic treatments. It is widely publicized that drug therapies have an averagefailure rate of up to 70% in the treatment of H. pylori infections.

3. Many patients have been on more than 4 courses of the same antibiotic treatment, and they still have stomach ulcers and H. pylori. I have even heard of patients who have taken 8 consecutive Triple Therapy treatments, and they are still infected.

4.Majority of those suffering from this type of ulcer, are infected with Candida Albicans, and they don't even know about it!Candida Overgrowth is alife threatening infection that is extremely difficult to treat. The last thing you want to take if you have Candida is any form of antibiotics...

5. Gastric ulcer of the H. pylori type, has no treatment or cure using conventional medicine

HOW TO TREAT OR CURE A GASTRIC ULCER, MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

I lived with this ailment for two to three years without finding a complete treatment, my family doctor became exhausted with my repeated attack and consultation, and I myself lost hope of getting a treatment, so I was bracing up to live with it, but I was saved.

My savior came through a family friend, please I encourage you to always share your problem with people, a problem shared, is half solved, don’t die in silence. I said this because I got my cure through a family friend whom my mom shared my ordeal with, and she suggested a local therapy or what I may call, natural treatment using fruit.

Unripe Plantain Fruit
Unripe Plantain Fruit

How to cure a gastric ulcer using natural therapy

I am going to share with you the therapy I used in curing my own gastric ulcer and secondly, I am also going to share another therapy a friend used, and both all worked for us, and is working for many people we prescribed it, so you can’t be an exception except yours is a different type of ulcer, don’t lose hope or faith, cure will soon locate you.

My own gastric ulcer therapy

Get an unripe plantain fruit (2 is okay)

Peel off the bark and wash the left over

Slice it into small portions or slices and pour into a clean water container (2 or 3 liter is okay)

Fill the container with clean drinkable water, but not to brim and cover with the cork or cover

Store in a cool dry place for 2 days

After the 2 days period, shake the container and its content, then pour a full tumbler and drink

Dosage: take it morning and night until the whole content is finished

Watch out for an improvement in attacks and symptoms, repeat this if symptoms persist.

Good luck!

      Hi Accofranco,

Thank you for the great suggestion! I had gastritis when was 8y old and 3 years ago. Now suddenly started back and is because I do not have a strong mucosa in the stomac maybe. I noticed your article on Plantain fruit and I am going to try it. Also on the basis of what you wrote, I decided to do more research on this and I found the below article from a medical trial journal. They confirm the benefits of unripe banana powder with ulceras and how other pharmaceutical treatments calm the acidity, heal a bit but don't make strong the mucosa and heal the ulceras.

      https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/6329384/

Thank you again for posting your experience, you are in the thought of so many people while looking back the time and remembering how they got treated without chemical medicines.

Just one thing people: Africa and developing countries are providing naturally the medicine for certain illnesses that pharmaceutical corporations are not able to treat but only alleviate, take your money and sometimes cause you another disease. We should acknowledge the importance of the natural sources from developing countries and make the possible to protect their sustainability (not only to to bring from foreign fruit corporations that sell to your local shop)

Saving Africa and developing countries and the small farmers is the best gift you can do and you should think about that when you cut your papaya, avocado or Plantain fruit that you cannot make it grow in your garden in Eu, Us or UK. There's so many families that live where this from have origins but they cannot afford to eat them or cultivate them and they need a small land to afford to start cultivate them. Search for sustainable project online the way you search your natural and long term treatment and you will gel yours and other's long term wealth and health :)

Hi Ted, plantain doesn't have lots of seeds....are you sure you bought the correct plantain specie? That also plays a role in whether this remedy works or not, and have you gone for a proper medical test to know if its gastric ulcer you are suffering from?

hi accofranco, i just got the plantain from the market and to my surprise when i get to cut it i saw lots of seeds. Im not so sure what should i do with it. i wish to know your email so that i can show you the photos. Please advice me thank you

Not the bark, peel off the bark and use the inner portion. Alternatively, you can sun-dry and grind to powder, then mix with pure honey, drink 3 teaspoons twice daily before breakfast and dinner meals. Wish you quick healing.

accofranco 10 months ago from L Island

First, have you gone for a proven medical test to certify that what you are suffering from is gastric ulcer? If yes, and it has not gone too bad, then this plantain should be able to treat it without issues. You can repeat this therapy three times consecutively, combining the treatment with cabbage juice and other remedies explained in some of the earlier comments (find time and read through all the comments).

Avoid foods and diets with high acid content like. If you can, reduce starch or carbohydrate foods. Natural yogurt is good for you. Read the comments, there are some diet recommendations that worked for some readers who shared their testimony on this article via comments and on the Facebook fan page.

I wish you quick recovery, have faith...but if symptom persist, please re-consult your doctor and discontinue the remedy and try something else.

At this time i was writing my dissertation in the university. Since then i got throat, head and stomach pain with burning around my body especially my left side. I was placed on esomeprazole and antibiotics for one month but have done with antibiotics, still on esomeprazole. I want to know if the plantain therapy will interfer with esomeprazole or both can be taking.

@sergio and SROTC, yes it should be able to treat duodenal ulcer.

Another way to prepare this unripe plantain remedy which some fans have tried and it worked for them too is using honey.

Get the recommended quantity of unripe plantain, say 2 mature but unripe plantain fruits.

Peel the bark off, sun dry or find a way to dry it naturally for some days or weeks. Grind or grate the dried inner portion into granules. Mix with half liter of pure natural honey.

Take 2 teaspoon thrice daily before meals.

This works very fast. Combine this remedy with cabbage juice and avoid the trigger factors.

@Chioma, drink with the grated content, don't filter.

Please there is no need refrigerating it; store at room temperature for effective use.

@OLUSEGUN, I say a big AMEN to your prayer; may God the healer of all heal you and others suffering from this painful illness soonest. May God use this remedy as a point of contact to heal you all. Remain blessed.

You guys should check this link where I updated this topic:

@barr hussein, it should work for gastritis, I don't know about erosive stage...because gastritis is an early stage of gastric ulcer.

@Moses, why not google the name- "unripe plantain fruit"...its green in color. I also attached picture in the article.

@Elizabeth, I finished the first 2 litres, prepared it again after a week, and lastly once. So I took 6 litres in all but at an interval, and the symptoms disappeared.

There is an improvement on how to prepare the herbal remedy. You can peel the plantain after cutting the slices, then dry them under sun and grind to powder. Mix with natural honey and take with teaspoon, 3 table spoon morning and night before each meal.

Combine it with cabbage juice and also try yoghurt, it helps.

      This will sure help.

@Nina, not a bottle...a clean plastic water container with cover. You can find a clear image of what to use in the ebook. Hope I answered your question? Thanks for stopping by, wishing you guys quick healing.

Just diagnosed with stomach ulcer after an endoscopy. I actually have more pain and now burning sensation in my stomach after the procedure which included a biopsy. Not sure if there is wound from the biopsy site but plan to call my Doc. I will try the remedy. When you say container? Like a bottle or bowl with cover. Thank you. I will be purchasing your book on amazon.

@sue, best practice is to blend the unripe plantain after peeling off the green bark and then pour into a container for fermentation to take place and drink all contents together. I hope this answered your question? Wishing you quick healing.

After it is fermented do you just drink the liquid or eat plantain also?

@Nate, sorry for my late response. Nate, read my original article carefully and you will see instructions on how to prepare and take the concussion. I was detailed enough and answered all these questions you are asking me, please find time and go through my original article on this again. and if you want further information, get a copy of the book I published on amazon....the link is up there in my original article. I hope this answered your question and how are you getting on now?

Regarding the reaction question, yes, if you have allergy and allergic to plantain mixture, that means it will have some negative reaction in your body system....so ask your doctor first and know that things your body system is allergic to.

      Thanks for stopping by

Thanks Frank. I finally found some plantains, can I just put the plantains in a blender with water and blend it up that way?. What if I react negatively to plantains like I do with bananas, or does the fermenting process fix this and how do you know when it's ready to use?. I just want to be sure to do things right and not just guessing everything. Thank you.

@Nate, no need of refrigerating it...and pls don't substitute with green bananas because it doesn't have the same herbal contents. Try and find plantain. There are things you must avoid eating as an ulcer patient....you can google it online or seek professional advice from a dietitian. Wish you quick recovery.

Thank you Frank. Do I need to refrigerate it?. I might not be able to find plantains where I am, can I substitute with green bananas?. I am really hoping and praying this can help me, I have had H.pylori in the past and I have many other health issues but my ulcers have become much worse lately. Is there a specific diet one needs to follow?.

@Nate, I think it weakens the bacteria and helps the wounded gut to heal. Drink in between meals...as in before meals, twice daily. Grind or blend the plantain before pouring into a clean container and then add clean water. It quickens the fermentation process and makes it more easy to drink. Hope this helps.

      Hi Frank,

How does it work and is it only effective at healing the gut or is it also effective at killing bacteria, specifically H.pylori?. When do I drink it, before or after meals and how much do I take daily?. Thank you.

@Aneesh and Sheena, Please I will recomned the unripe plantain remedy more. Peel the plantain and throw away the green bark, then grind the inner edible part and pour into a clean container, pour water and allow for 2 - 3 days to ferment, and then take one tumbler morning and night till mixture finishes. I didn't use the paw-paw remedy so I can't bet on it, though I learnt from friends that it worked for them.

@santiago, I didn't try paw-paw, and I haven't tried using it to treat stomach ulcer, but few people I know have tried it and it worked for them too....so its possible that it can also treat yours, but I recommend unripe plantain concussion, the one I tried myself.

@Shuresh, yes it is not poisonous, except you have allergy! Please before you start taking the concussion, consult your local physician/doctor to know if you are allergic to it. Thanks, I wish you all speedy recovery.

Hi, is storing the fermented plantain water in the refrigerator having any negative effect on its efficacy?

      1) must the container be air-tight i.e is tightly covered or corked?

      Thanks!

@tiara, what that means is this: peel of the bark - it means you should remove the green bark of the unripe plantain (not banana). You may forget to wash it....slice into small portions means: slice the edible part into small slices so it can enter a water container, and for easy fermentation.

I think I have answered your question? I have a book for this...check above or towards the end of this article, you will see a blue text that says: "cure your ulcer naturally" click on it and order a copy of the book, it will help you to understand everything you need to do, how to do it and some other additional information to help you cure your ulcer.

      Wishing you quick healing.

Peel off the bark and wash the left over

Slice it into small portions or slices and pour into a clean water container (2 or 3 liter is okay)

Hi.. For the first remedy using unripe bananas I dont understand the above steps like we peel off the peels and wash what? And what do we slice the peels or the edible flesh?

I have been having acid problems for almost a year now, I feel blotted all the time and sometimes its actually painful I have to massage my belly and also I feel nauseated sometimes and heartburn as well as vibrations in the stomach. And the doctors say I have acids, some say acid reflux, some say non ulcer dysperpsia or functional dysperpsia but I guess some of the sympotoms can be eliminated by your remedy. I hope it works for me too because I have really stopped going to the doctors in my country and thinking of going overseas to look for specialist doctors

@minister, yes you must strive to avoid all 'trigger' foods....that stirs up the symptoms....too sugary and pepperish foods that may wake up the healing injury or inflammation. Hope this helps

@Ralph, mine disappeared after 3 - 4 months I think, but the symptoms reduced after some weeks of starting the medication. It sure works....after I published this, many bloggers, etc have been re-producing and re-posting it and I read on one site where people where giving positive testimonies and thanking the writer who copied my write-up here without changing a word.

What am I saying? It works; just believe and follow the instructions. I wish you quick recovery. Thanks for stopping by.

@Manahil, if its gastric ulcer that hasn't gone beyond critical, it should work...yes, I shared it to assist those suffering from it because I know how it feels and want more people to be free from the illness. Thanks for the commendation.

guy you hv given morethan life to many. i pray God should double your life time for this selfless service. i am an ulcer patient though not sure of the type. i tried unripe plantain b4 reading post but the moment the pains relieve i stop and was not careful about my meal. i fasted many times for job and immediately after the job the ulcer is back with heavy weight that i could not even enjoy myself. with this post i will now give the plantain another try and i blive it has work for me already. more greeze to ur elbow. my advice to other readers is that if wealth is lost nothing is gone but if health is lost all is gone. my own started in the quest of God CGPA which i got but not enjoying it noow but praise God for making plantain.
