Fibromyalgia Points of Pain
Fibromyalgia Points of Pain

There are over 325 Million people living in the United States of America. 2% of that amount suffers from Fibromylagia. Fibromyalgia occurs twice in women than men and is more likely to develop in persons of middle age and upwards. If you suffer from excessive joint pains, short memory loss, muscle pains, you may be part of that 2%.

What Is Fibromyalgia?

Because fibromyalgia is not an epidemic, there is not much emphasis on this disease, but people who suffer from this experience daily difficulty simply moving around and many have to have pills as a part of their daily diet. Fibromyalgia is a disorder which causes excessive musculoskeletal pain in your body. The musculoskeletal system is a complete binding system which provides firm support and movement of your entire body. As the name suggest, it consist of muscles, skeleton, ligaments, joints, tendons and other connective tissues which help support and bind organs and tissues together. Fibromyalgia affects these locomotive systems by issuing pain when movement is triggered.

Fibromyalgia is often looked at as an arthritis-related condition, but truth be told it bares different traits from what arthritis disorder. Arthritis causes wear and tear of joints or muscles. Arthritis also causes inflammation of these tissues. Fibromyalgia does not cause this harm but will induce the same amount of pain in these areas. Pain which often affects the mobility of the individual.

Fibromyalgia is different from arthritis because not only does it brings pain to the musculoskeletal system, it also has an effect on your short term memory.

Symptoms of Fibromyalgia

The most common symptom of Fibromyalgia is musculoskeletal pain, but there are other disorder which accompany this pain.

  • Anxiety
Triggered because of the pain and restlessness associated with Fibromyalgia.
  • Concentration and memory problems -- known as "fibro fog"
Fibromyalgia causes one to lose sleep and allows the brain to over work and tire without rest. The brain needs rest to function properly
  • Fatigue.
Comes because movement with fibromyalgia is very difficult and will cause wear and tear on the body resulting in more than normal tiredness.
  • Headaches.
The skull and neck is part of the musculoskeletal system. The eyes are part of this system also. Pain in the muscle will affect these areas.
  • Depression.
Goes hand in hand with anxiety. Depression can come from the weight of pain and not being able to move as one would. The individual will then put this disorder at the forefront of their thinking and eventually depress themselves.
  • Morning stiffness.
Will be quite common because of little or no movement when one sleeps, movement after waking will come with seized joints and stiff muscles which will make movement a big task.
  • Irritable bowel syndrome.
It is not clear why Fibromyalgia affects the bowels. But people who suffer from fibromyalgia are often diagnosed with IBS.

Symptoms of Fibro Fog

This short term memory loss is often times referred to as Fibro Fog or Brain Fog. Fibromyalgia Fog is basically when your short term cognition goes to sleep for a little while. Some of the common symptoms are:

  • Short term memory loss
  • misplacing objects
  • becoming easily distracted
  • forgetting plans
  • difficulty carrying on conversations
  • inability to remember new information

This normally happens because people who suffer from fibromyalgia often have sleep complications and get little rest. This intern will have some negative effects on the brain as the brain needs to rest, rejuvenate and reboot. A tired brain will not be a good working brain and hence will affect short term memory

Medical Treatments

As many of us are aware, the medical fraternity rarely ever comes up with a cure for diseases or disorders. Most of the treatments are normally relievers or suppressants. Most of the times you will have to take these treatments for the entire duration of your life. Most of these medications comes in the forms of pills which may have some awful side effects which sometimes turn out to be even worst that the problem it is treating. There are many different pills available today which can help you in the short term, post will however have to be prescribed by a Doctor who has had experience in treating Fibromyalgia.

Diseases Treated With Marijuana

Medical Marijuana has been proven to cure the following diseases:

  • Aids
  • Arthritis
  • Athma
  • Alzheimer
  • Chronic Pain
  • Chrones Disease
  • Cancer
  • Glaucoma
  • Epilepsy
  • Sleep Disorders

Marijuana May Be a Cure

Marijuana has been around for centuries and has now been getting indiscreet medical attention. For centuries underground users have been telling the medical fraternity about the marvellous effects of marijuana on certain diseases. But this was of course swept under the commercial medical carpet because healing does not bring big bucks, only temporary treatment.

A recent study that had been conducted among over 1300 patients who had been severely suffering from Fibromyalgia showed that through the use of Medical Cannabis, the treatment was 70% more effective than the suggested drug Cymbalta, Salvella and Lyrica. These three drugs are what is commonly prescribed to treat people who suffer from this ailment. But many people who use these drugs have had numerous complains of ineffectiveness. But not only are these drugs ineffective, they are also quite expensive. The next minus for these drugs are the devastating side effects which accompany them. People who have taken Lyrica have complained of:

  1. Suicidal thoughts
  2. Severe Allergic Reactions
  3. Swelling of Feet and Hands
  4. low concentration
  5. Blurry vision
  6. Dizziness
  7. Vomiting
  8. Dry mouth
  9. Feeling high.

My Own Experience Using Marijuana

People who have used this drug the right way know of its marvel. My grandmother has used it for years on her arthritis and she had passed down the Arthritis cure to my mother who I have used Marijuana on to cure her arthritis. Even though there are some differences in both Fibromyalgia and Arthritis, they both have one thing in common; pain. When my mother used to suffer from arthritis, joint pain and muscular pain, she would call for the use of Marijuana which would help her dramatically to overcome the pain and stiffness. The mix was a simple one. We would place marijuana into a bottle with medical alcohol. Then leave it to set over night. In the morning I would pour the Marijuana mixture unto the stiff and painful areas of her body, which are mostly fingers, neck and knees, then rub in this mixture into her skin. She always expressed immediate relief of the pain.

Using Medical Marijuana The Right Way
This is not a hip drug you should just run to the corner and buy illegally, get high smoking and believe your fibromyalgia pain will go away. You have consult with your medical practitioner and ask him if it is safe to use for you. Then you must get it prescribed by your doctor. This is important as many people may over use the drug resulting in undesired effects.

You Also Need A Lifestyle Change

Natural healing herbs like Marijuana is never the complete solution to any ailment. You as an individual always need to look at your current lifestyle and see how it directly affects your health. Your body is a living entity and requires certain care to perform at its optimum level. Aside from being treated with natural herbs like marijuana, you must ensure of the following:

  • Diet: Always practice a good diet. Give your body the right nutrition it needs
  • Mobility: Your body needs to move, it was made to move, we consist of nothing but moving parts. Walk, run, ride, and do a bit of exercise. Your body will thank you for it
  • Rest: All night partying every day is not the sign of a healthy and restful person. Your body needs rest, it needs sleep to rejuvenate.
  • Avoid putting toxins in your body: Alcohol and certain drugs have no good effect on your body, avoid them
