How To Have Purpose In Your Life

Updated on August 13, 2013

Many people may ask them self, what is my purpose in life? Why am I here and what is the reason of my existence? How to have purpose in your life is up to each one of us, meaning how much do you want to mean something here on Earth, and do you want to be remembered as someone that made good out of your life?

So many people just sit back and think the world owes them a living and that is not the case at all in our lives. If you want your life to have meaning then you have to do something and be someone that everyone respects and loves. You need to do good for others and help all mankind every chance you have.

You need to continue to think with a Positive Attitude at all times no matter what life throws at you. You need to love yourself and others the same. Hatred should never be in your vocabulary and you need to love everyone and be kind to all mankind.

Offer help to anyone in need without complaining about it. Help everyone from the goodness of your heart and not expect anything in return for your help to others.

Do You Know Your Purpose in Life

Have you ever wonder why you are here on Earth and what is the purpose you are here? You are here and given life by God and he has given each and everyone of us a chance to make something good out or our lives. Now it is up to all of us to make our life have purpose and meaning to the world around us.

Many of us haven't even given the purpose of life a second thought. Many of us just take life for granted and don't think why we were born and given the precious thing we call life a thought.

We are given the opportunity to make a wonderful life for us and our families, but unfortunately many choose to ruin the life we were given by using drugs and alcohol.

I know many people that read my hubs and articles may get sick and tired of hearing me talk about alcohol and how it can and will ruin our lives, but I need to throw alcoholism somewhere in each hub and article to show people that this addiction will ruin what God has given us.

Each one of us are given life, pure and clean. Some of us will stay that way, pure and clean and make something out of our lives and have purpose to our life, but then there are those that just ruin everything by this horrible thing we call the addiction to alcohol.

I can not stress enough to the world that none of us need to be addicted to anything including alcohol if we only would look at what life has to offer in a sober state.

  • Learn to love yourself.
  • Learn to love life.
  • Learn to love one another.
  • Learn to help those in need.
  • Learn to think Positive everyday.
  • Learn the meaning of your life's purpose.
  • Learn to stay clean and sober.
  • Learn to enjoy the life your were given by God.
  • Learn to know how to make a mark on this Earth we live on and be remembered by what you have done.
  • Learn to make your life noticed by others by the good you do for others and for yourself.

By doing these these you will have a wonderful life, and the purpose of why you are here on Earth will make sense to you knowing you mean something to yourself and to others as well.

If you would like to know how my life started as being an alcoholic and how I finally gave in to my addiction then check out my new eBook titled My Life of Alcohol Addiction.

fpherj48- It is very nice meeting you and a huge thanks for your comment and your kind words. It really means a lot .So many people I know think nothing of themselves. Most of them are addicted to drugs or alcohol. I try to explain they so important here on Earth but they just don't want to hear it. It is the alcohol or drugs bringing them down to the bottom.

Thank you also for the Vote Up !!

clean life...Your attitude is one that can and should be adopted by more people...everywhere. I agree with your statement that far too many believe their purpose is simply to be "given to and to take from.." Sad, but ultimately they all reach the draught and have nothing of themselves to salvage.

I accept that I've been blessed with special gifts I recognized at a very young age and instinctively knew I was meant to share them. What a waste to be like Midas and selfishly hoard our gold to build a world of lonliness and desperation.

We know our purpose simply, by first knowing ourselves and being aware the Universe continues only by our actions of giving and accepting. All goodness that is paid forward creates the viable circle from which all life flows, spreads and flourishes.

Thank you for a meaningful message.. UP++

Mark, such great and true advice. I believe God has given each of us a purpose, too. "Don't let your left hand know what your right hand is doing" came to mind when you discussed doing for others without complaint and not expecting to be repaid.

I believe even the negative has purpose. If you had not been an alcoholic, you would not have been able to reach out and help as many people as you have. I think you have done a great job in helping others by taking your life lessons and showing how they can either hurt or help you. Great hub! Votes and shares!

What a great hub and so needed by many of us. I love the "pep talk" you give and the suggestions on how to find your purpose. We all do have a purpose in life and it is up to us to find what it is. Voted up!
