How To Strengthen Immune System — Herbs Uses
How To Strengthen Immune System — Herbs Uses | Source

I have used this herb to boost my and my wife's immune system as we both were suffering every year at least two to three times with immune diseases such as hay fever, allergic rhinitis, sore throat, cough and congestion. Those days are gone now, as now I can say we have attained healthy immune system thanks to this herbs uses which I have described in detail below.

When one day I got to know that one of our fellow article writers is coping with her immune system, I suggested this magical herb to boost her immune system. But as she was from Italy where it is not that easily available and must be known with a different name, she was trying to google it and look for websites which are selling this herb. This is the reason why I am writing this article to provide one-stop solution regarding this magical herb which boost our immune system to umpteenth level and let us enjoy a healthy disease free life with natural ways to boost immune system.

What Is The Immune System?

Just like in our day to day life we encounter so many problems externally and we try to solve them, similarly our body internally faces so many bacteria, viruses, external particles like pollen grains, allergens and it tries to remove or suppress them through its own mechanism. This mechanism is collectively known as immune system. Through a healthy immune system, it tries to keep our body disease free. We also have certain foods to boost immune system and there are herbs uses to strengthen immune system. I will write a separate article to describe what is the immune system to elaborate it further.

What Are Herbs Used For To Boost Immune System?

This herb is known as Giloy in India, but in different countries it has different names like guduchi, heartleaf moonseed, Tinospora Cordifolia, or Indian Tinospora. This single herb has the capability to solidify your immune system and within 15 days of using this herb you will realize that you are benefitted. Even today in the morning, I had this herb. Now I am going to write a detailed account about where this herb giloy is found and how it is taken as natural ways to boost immune system.

Where is Giloy or Guduchi found?

Giloy or Guduchi is a medicinal plant of climbing variety found abundantly in the Indian subcontinent and it is mentioned in the ancient scriptures in Sanskrit as Amrit which means immortal. Hence, from its name only, you can judge why thousands of years ago, it was given such a name. It is only because of its property to boost our immune system and make us disease free. So as natural ways to boost immune system, it is widely used in Ayurvedic medicine which is a traditional herb-based medicine of India. Almost in everywhere in India, Srilanka, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore you will find this plant mainly climbing a mango or Neem tree. If you live in any other country then the easiest way is to grab a bottle of Guduchi or Giloy extract over the Internet.

Process of Making Giloy Stem Extract?

This extract should be taken every alternate morning to boost your immune system and within 15 days you will realize that you have no more allergic rhinitis or hay fever.

Step #1: Cut 10 inches of Giloy or Guduchi stem from the plant. Take out the leaves and only stem is we are going to use.

Step #2: Wash the stem under running water thoroughly and cut into small pieces or cut longitudinally and dip into 2 glasses of water.

Step #3: Since this herb is not good to taste, add a few more immune booster herbs like 5 to 10 basil leaves, 4 cloves, 4 whole black pepper and a pinch of rock salt to taste.

Step #4: Boil the herbs dipped in water till one glass of water evaporates and only one glass of water remains.

Step #5: Cool the mixture till it remains lukewarm and then drink it.

You are supposed to drink this Giloy or Tinospora Cordifolia stem extract for twice a week for a month or two twice every year to strengthen immune system.

What Are The Other Benefits?

Giloy, Tinospora Cordifolia, guduchi, or heartleaf moonseed is a medicinal plant which apart from to strengthen immune system and fight out immune diseases has several other medicinal values like:

a) Giloy Stem Extract: Allergic rhinitis (hay fever), dengue fever, or viral fever. In the case of dengue viral fever, platelet count goes down to amazing level and the patients start internal bleeding which leads to death. Guduchi amazingly treats this very well and very soon.

b) Giloy extract with Turmeric Extract: Hepatotoxicity or liver damage. During tuberculosis treatment, we uses so many drugs that it causes hepatotoxicity which is dangerous as it leads to liver damage, but it can easily be treated with the help of with Giloy and turmeric extract.

c) Decoctation of leaves: Gout and blood purifier. Decoctation means preparing a soup first with the leaves and then straining the leaves out and drinking the extract. You can prepare the decoctation similarly with the same steps I have detailed above where you need to put Giloy or Guduchi leaves instead of its stem.

d) Alcoholic extract from its stem: Escherichia coli

e) Fruit: Jaundice and rheumatism. You will find small red ripen fruits in the winter season which help in alleviating jaundice and rheumatism.

I wish you will definitely try Guduchi to strengthen your immune system or fight out immune diseases after reading How To Strengthen Immune System — Herbs Uses.

Thanks for your uplifting feedback. I have seen herbs working since the days of my Grandpa who used to give it so so many people and seeing them benefiting and also being in the medical field for so long, I know natural remedies prepare your bodies immune system to respond to pathogen instead of like pharmocological drugs which kill the pathogens and harm the body while damaging healthy tissues and cells.

Hi Peggy! Thanks for your interest. This Guduchi or Giloy plant is described as amaltas in our scriptures and that means amrit or forever. So, even thousands of years ago, people have discovered the amazing properties of this plant in boosting immune system. For allergies, take a teaspoon of Guduchi stem powder mixed with 20 crushed leaves of Indian Lilac and boil in two glasses of water till it reduces to one glass and then cool it and drink it once a day every alternate day for a month.
