How To Treat HIV Naturally

Updated on July 29, 2011

Traditional medicine would have us believe that many diseases have no cure. This may be true when only traditional medications are considered. In the natural world there lies a cure for almost every disease, just waiting to be found.

In the 1980's, HIV became a pandemic, affecting men, women, and children . Many died and will continue to die from AIDS, which is a complication of HIV. While traditional drugs have extended the lifespans of those with HIV, fatalities are a stark reality.

There are natural treatments for HIV and they are much less expensive than traditional drug therapy.

The treatments listed can be used in combination with traditional medications.

Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has been shown to have virus killing properties. Lauric acid is found in coconut oil and human breast milk; this acid is the virus killing powerhouse so special in coconuts.

Scientists in many different countries have commented on the promising result of lauric acid in tests against viruses. To gain these results yourself add as much Extra Virgin coconut oil as possible into your diet.

Coconut oil can be used in place of all other cooking oils. Fresh and frozen coconut can be eaten raw or added into baked goods. Coconut milk can be used in cooking, smoothies and more.

Green Tea

Drink green tea. This tea contains compounds known to bind to viruses. Brew the tea strong and drink basically as much as you can stand a day. This can be tiring to taste buds, but aim for at least 4 cups per day. The more taken into the body, the better the effects.

Take selenium supplements daily. It has been theorized that many people have a selenium deficiency due to its' depletion from over-farmed soil.

This nutrient is essential to HIV patients. Raise selenium levels in the body by taking supplements and eating selenium rich foods such as Brazil nuts and seafood
