How can I Stop the Growth?

HOW CAN I STOP IT?

Rose was diagnosed to have appendicitis and needed surgery. She came to my office and I sensed from the way she spoke that she was afraid. I asked if she was afraid that something bad could happen to her during surgery or that she was not willing to go through the medical surgery. She admitted she was afraid and secondly wished she did not have to go through surgery.

Fear negates faith and could hinder our prayers for healing so I first commanded the spirit of fear to leave her body and then prayed for her healing, anointing her with oil in accordance with James 5:14-15. She was still in pain after the prayers and I laid my hand on the exact position of the appendicitis; on her lower abdomen and commanded the cause of the pain to be uprooted.

She went for another scan and they confirmed it was still there and was finally scheduled for surgery. I encouraged her to go but reassured her that they will find nothing. She did not have money for the operation but someone paid for it and when they took her into the theatre, the pain disappeared and the final scan before the surgery showed nothing to the glory of God!

Pastor E.A. Adeboye said “If you hear God’s word and diligently obey him, He promises that He will not afflict you with sickness. This means, as long as you are in good standing with God, no sickness is allowed to come to you, except the one you bring upon yourself. This also tells us that the presence of sickness in our bodies could indicate that all is not well between us and God. So whenever you take ill, before you start looking for external cause, first look inwards: find out if it is as a result of sin, because according to 3John2, God wants you in good health always”.

We are tempted to seek our needs first before seeking the one who can meet the needs. There is nothing wrong with coming to God(church) to search for the right partner, good job, business connection, contracts, children, healing to name but a few. It is wrong while in Church (God) to focus on those things first or primarily and put God last or even in a second place.

We know the instruction to seek God first, but in practice I have seen believers who had no working relationship with God trying frantically to carve out one with Him because they want Him to help them with their needs. It is normal to visit the hospital whenever we need medical attention and that is after we have prayed but where do we go for divine healing? A believer could say church, special crusade, deliverance service and yet may be incorrect until he realizes the need to go to God, men of God, other brethren and Christian healing centres.

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.(Jas 5:14-15)

Individual attention to people in need of divine healing may be difficult during church services and crusades due to time factor and the need to attend to so many people with diverse needs. Here comes the urgent need for Christian healing centres not medical hospitals. I believe God that very soon there will be Christian healing centres all over the country instead of the current trend where churches are operating hospitals.

Are you in need of divine healing? You need to come to God directly or through the men of God. “But he that must come to God must believe that He is…” if you need divine healing, you must believe in God the healer. You may have trusted your medical doctor and he failed, I challenge you to have faith and trust God with the whole of your heart; he never fails!

“And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them”. (Mar 11:22&24)

Do you have strong desire for healing? Then begin to walk in divine healing by first casting your cares before God so that He can lift the heavy burdens off your shoulders. Now is your time to connect heaven with prayers made in the name of Jesus. You do not need to become a prayer warrior to access divine healing; all you need is –desire for healing, pray and believe in the powerful name of Jesus! Believe that you are healed and immediately begin to walk in divine healing; behave like someone who is already healed.

And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb. (Rom 4:19)

You must remember that your healing is made manifest in the physical realm if you entertain no doubt or consider contrary physical realities on ground at the time of your prayer. God is greater than any physical reality and could use them for our good or reverse them completely at will. Remember that we are more blessed and our faith is stronger when we believe God has done it before we see it manifest in the physical than “seeing before believing” (Jn.20:29).

Thanks again Faith, it was your earlier encouragement that gave birth to the above hub...and more to come. If only believers could trust our saviour more than their trust in government institutions and human instrumentality, uncommon miracles will be our daily compensation. Shalom!

What an awesome hub about the power of faith in our sweet Lord and Saviour to heal us. He is all powerful, all knowing and ever-present, and He can heal. Last year he healed me of breast cancer. I asked Him to heal me without having any doubt that He can heal me, and He did heal me, as it was His will. Praise Him! Voted Way Up. In His Love, Faith Reaper
